Description
Recently, there was a scathing review. We take all reviews seriously as we receive them. We make every effort to address and correct every issue. The only factor we cannot change is our dog. There is one queen bed available in this space- very comfortable new queen mattress. Netflix, roku, WiFi, privacy, enclosed yard/doggy door, kitchen- microwave, griddle, George Foreman grill, toaster, coffee maker, fridge. No built-in stove/oven, PORTABLE OVEN AVAILABLE. The space Pretty small space, comfortable for one or two guests. Probably not 3. Best perks include- fully enclosed yard for any pet, doggy door, Netflix, WiFi, please inquire about washer and dryer- in process of getting these. Laundromat very close. Our place is a clean, comfortable, and cozy Fifth Wheel Trailer. Although it is an older model, we tried to update the living space a few years ago by putting new tile on the floors, adding wood flooring to bedroom area, drywall to living room area, staining cabinets, replacing original toilet (still has a “trailer” toilet, but new), and added tile to bathroom sink area. We’ve had issues with cracking grout lines between tiles, we were disappointed that grout didn’t not hold up to test of time and a few moves- unfortunately, we used regular grout, not designed for mobile floors, end result- doesn’t look as good as it did. Trailer is sitting in the far corner of our 1 /2 acre lot/residence, with its own little fenced yard, door has built-in doggy door for any pets. We recently added a newer manufactured home to land, which is currently vacant. The far end sits along east side of trailers yard. When we are moved in, any facing windows e My husband, our son and I live in the smaller manufactured home farthest from trailer. It survived a fire that burned down our once beautiful patio, but thats a priority that’s being placed somewhat last I’m afraid. So our place doesn’t look great on the outside. Unless suggested otherwise, we leave the key in the lock of the trailer door around expected arrival time. We do appreciate knowing when you plan to arrive so we can set temperature and turn on water heater, etc. Extra blankets and pillows are available, by request. In cold weather, space heater works great (additional heaters also available, by request please) and on hot days, we have two very good air conditioning units to cool it off quickly. We prefer our guests to only use the air conditioner in the window- and the one on the roof as needed. It blasts a lot of cool air and does the trick during record breaking heat. In the kitchen, there is hot water as long as it’s been turned on a while. The kitchen oven does not work, but we have 2 portable/convection ovens you can use to cook, just ask. There is a microwave, large griddle/skillet, toaster, coffee maker, and George Foreman grill. The 2 convection ovens are in storage building next door, just bring it in or ask us to get it (one is very big, fits a large turkey; the other is standard size.) Kitchen also has a small fridge, with little freezer that fits ice tray and some food. The shower is not the newest, as seen in pictures. In order to take a hot shower, hot water heater switch must be turned on at least 20 min- an hour or more (switch located near corner of wall above ottoman, below shelves- can see it when entering in through front door)It’s an older trailer, hot water capacity only allows for at least a ten minute shower, longer if used sparingly. I recommend leaving hot water heater on most of time, if you like having hot water a lot. We have a BBQ- but it looks like something you might use camping. Circular style BBQ w/ashes that empty into a can, uses charcoal, but it cooks- just please ask and we’ll bring over the charcoal, lighting fluid, etc. We are located in the small town of "Catalina" (but still considered Tucson), we are just off of Oracle Highway- not too far from the beautiful, majestic views of the Catalina mountains and Catalina State Park. Being at a slightly higher elevation, lower temperatures are unique to our area, and there are many popular hiking trails as well. Up the road is the town of Oracle, which is known as the gateway community for both the Arizona National Scenic Trail and Oracle State Park. For longer stays, there is a laundromat less than a half mile away. There is also a nearby grocery store, and large shopping center that includes a Walmart, Regency Movie Theaters, PetSmart, Best Buy, DSL, ULTA, etc (too many stores to list). We are about a half hours drive from downtown Tucson. JerryBobs right across the street, as well as many other locally owned restaurants. We welcome and love meeting all the different new people who stay here. We especially love when they are happy with their stay- which is why I do not want anyone to misunderstand or not realize that our trailer rental is not for the renter who treasures and values modern comforts and luxurious details. We do our best to make it as comfortable and clean as possible. But if you don’t mind living in a smaller space, possibly hearing the neighbors chickens crow in the morning, and foregoing the cemented sidewalks and driveways built-in to all the surrounding tract neighborhoods- then we would love to hear from you. I like to think we offer the best place for the lowest rate, but we are also willing to work with some renters request for a deal or discount- especially for longer stays, every offer is considered. We have some pet cats and there are different neighborhood stray cats that I see pass through our yard. Most of all, we like to stay out of your business as much as possible, but will always be available to answer any questions or help when asked. We ask please no pit bulll type dogs, sorry about that. We just had two scary incidents involving pit bulls, and with a small child around, better safe than sorry. Guest access Guests have access to entire trailer, large yard for parking extra vehicles/trailers/etc, as well as access to a vacant building located just next to the trailer- this building is available for extra storage room only. Other things to note Pets welcome- please no pit bulls (bad experience in past with pit bulls, hope nobody is offended).
