Bacialupo
Bacialupo Foresteria
Description
Our house, known as Bacialupo, is a historic home with roots dating back to 1692, located at the foot of the ancient Castello di Montecalvo Versiggia, on the top of the hill. We have restored the property with natural and recycled materials, respecting its original stone, wood and terracotta features. We are Sarah and Federico, a Dutch and Italian couple, with two daughters, Sophie and Madelief. After years of hectic life in Bergamo and Milan, we chose to move to the countryside, among the hills of Val Tidone and Oltrepò Pavese. In 2013, we found our ideal home, immersed in a fascinating landscape, which inspired us to transform it into a B&B to share the beauty of the place with you. The property offers a lovely garden and a serene environment, perfect for those looking for an escape from the city and wanting to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the Italian countryside. The space This property is perfect both for a couple who want to enjoy the peace and quiet of a unique and authentic environment, and for a family with children. The interiors are characterized by original exposed bricks and stones, with wooden beams and period furniture that give a historical charm. The rooms, all facing southeast, offer a splendid view of the surrounding greenery. The floors of the two rooms are in antique terracotta, while the bathroom is covered with reclaimed cement tiles, adding a touch of rustic elegance. The antique wooden doors complete the cozy and traditional atmosphere of the house. Guest access On request, linen is changed every three days. We provide 2 camping beds for small children and, for long stays, you can use an outdoor kitchen furnished with a fridge and dishes. Guests have access to wifi, parking for two cars within the property, and a bicycle and motorcycle shelter. The garden of about 3000 square meters offers a relaxing environment with sun loungers, umbrellas and a swimming pool. For the little ones, there is a swing, a trampoline, a sandpit, and many games to share with our daughters. Breakfast is served in the cozy living room or garden in the shade of the pergola overlooking the hills. You can enjoy desserts prepared with local ingredients: tarts, fruit cakes, pandolce, biscuits and bread to be paired with jams or honey. Tea, coffee, herbal teas, and juices will accompany your breakfast. During your stay Bacialupo is our home where we live all year round, so we are always available to assist our guests during their stay. Other things to note The gentle Oltrepò Pavese and the surrounding valleys, such as the Val Tidone and the Val Trebbia, offer countless routes ideal for nature lovers, to be explored on foot, by bike or by motorbike. The landscape is characterized by neat vineyards and impervious broadleaf forests, enriched by castles and small evocative villages. In addition, the area is renowned for a very rich and varied gastronomy, which attracts visitors from all over.
