Authentic Amsterdam Basement

Our friendly townhouse is beautifully situated near Vondelpark, museum district and entertainment area. It is an excellent starting point for your exploration of Amsterdam because public transport is very close. You will feel at ease in the cosy basement with its comfortable bathroom. Weather depending, you might enjoy our garden, too. The space Our guests have the basement and the bathroom to themselves. Although there is no kitchen, coffee and tea can be made and a bar cooler is present. Our guests have access to the garden. Weather depending they could sit outside. Due to it being a courtyard our neighbours need to be respected at all times, i.e. we ask our guests to refrain from having telephone conversations in the garden, refrain from watching videos and refrain from smoking or talking loudly etcetera. We live in the same house as our guests. Although our guests have the basement practically to themselves, they need to be aware of the fact that creaking floors, slamming doors and people walking up and down the stairs will be noticeable. Sometimes the washing machine and/or the dryer could be in use. During showers or after flushing the toilet the pump disposes of waste water. So, taking baths or showers after midnight might wake up your family/friends. As long as all of us "speak our truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others", to quote Max Ehrmann, we will all enjoy sharing our time and space together. Guest access The master bedroom has closet space, a bar cooler, a side table, and two chairs. The windows face street level and can be opened to air the room. Next to this bedroom, the bathroom including a shower, tub, and toilet can be found. The second bedroom, a rather narrow room with a bunk bed (height: 120) a table, and some closet space gives access to the courtyard garden where our guests may relax. Other things to note Children older than 16 are welcome to our house as it is unfit for babies, toddlers, and young children.
