The Nest

The Nest—Coastal Mountain Abode offers a clean, fun & peaceful place to call "home"! We are opening up our space to fellow travelers, while we are away traveling. The space is trendy & has some really fun elements to it. NOTE: This unit is one of two units on-site. This is the upstairs portion of the home & has its own private entrance, kitchen, living spaces, bathroom & bedroom. The Airbnb suite downstairs is called The Manzanita Treehouse & that unit also has it's own entrance. The space We bought this house with the intention of creating a space for friends and family to gather. We want to extend this invitation for travelers that are looking to escape the city, enjoy some local coffee and a digital nomad lifestyle, or grab a surfboard and jump in the ocean. The large deck and Redwood tree canopy create the feeling of a far off mountain retreat, with squirrels climbing the trees and a our local flock (aka rafter) of turkeys roaming, yet we are just minutes away from downtown Santa Cruz. We renovated and designed the top half of the house to be a cozy little space for ourselves—and are now extending our space to you while we are out traveling. The Nest has a private entrance with an unique key code. It is a one-bedroom—with soft sheets in a Queen canopy bed and all the boho vibes. Off of the bedroom is a fun & tasteful nursery with crib & play area. Intimate living/dining room includes: wood-burning stove, projector screen, and our favorite (vibey) record collection. Full kitchen with all your cooking/baking materials, and a full bathroom (shower only, no bathtub). Guest access The space is on the top half of our home. There is another Airbnb suite on the bottom half of the house, so the outdoor space is a shared environment. We invite you to safely use this shared space—while being respectful to the other Airbnb guests on-site. You will walk down a long flight of stairs (50+), passing the pool, straight into your suite.
