Want to rest and recharge, then Walkersons is the place! Our guest house arguably has the most beautiful view on the entire estate, overlooking the river, five dams and mountain. The guest house is inside Walkersons Estate on the Dullstroom escarpment. With river streams, paved walkways, mountain biking, trout dams and situated in the mist belt, it is bliss and tranquillity. The space The guest house has a farm style feel to it - it fits in with the old Eastern Transvaal highlands meander and is fully equipped without clutter. The house is aimed at a couples. Kindly note that the maximum occupancy of 6 adults and 2 children (children>2 years included). The two main bedrooms (queen beds) are spacious and with stunning views. The third bedroom (queen bed) faces the back of the estate, with beautiful sunrises. The fourth room is a study with study table and two single beds aimed at children. Our guest house is child friendly and a portable infant cot is available. Fully equipped kitchen for 8 guests. Outdoor dining table on veranda and chairs for 8 people. Wood fireplace (Blackwattle wood supplied; however guests need to bring charcoal for the braai). DSTV with sport. Free WI-Fi Walkersons has Vodacom, MTN and Cell-C Towers. Limited roaming on Telkom. We have free Wi-Fi. The Estate Management now issues trout fishing permits at a day fee per person. Contact owner for details or checkout the study for the QR code. Kindly note that guest pets are unfortunately not allowed on the Estate. Guest access The house is rented in full - you have the entire house for yourself! The house is on a single level and with level access from the parking/garage to the house. All open areas/amenities/rooms in the house are on the same level and suited for people with mobility challenges. Only the patio has a single step down to it. Undercover parking for four vehicles (two inside a lockable garage). Guests arriving let themselves in with the keys inside a Lockbox. A Remote (supplied) must be used to disable the alarm system. Other things to note There are various game and birds (including Fish Eagles) on the estate - please treat all animals with respect and never attempt to touch the animals or birds. Do not come close to Zebra that often visit our lawn. Please note: 1. The two main bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Bedroom 3 has a bathroom right next to its door, but share this bathroom with bedroom 4 (study), which is mostly used for kids. Please contact us regarding children accommodation arrangements/bedding. NB Mattresses may not be moved. 2. The Estate issues trout fishing permits for dam use only (river fishing not allowed). Strictly catch-and-release; only floating lines with barbless hooks allowed. Please bring your own fishing gear. Only house guests are allowed to fish (no outside visitors).
