The rental room is located in a country house from the early 1900’s. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden where you can choose to relax. The rental room is spacious and quiet, furnished with a mix of antique and modern furniture, it has a private bathroom. In the area there are beautiful countryside walks. It is possible to reach the centre of Lucca in 8 minutes by car and a perfect starting point to organize day trips to the coast, mountains or other Tuscan cities: Pisa, Firenze, etc. The space The room is located in a house in a quiet countryside/residential area, close to the historical city of Lucca, which is less than 4 km’s away. There is the possibility of taking beautiful walks or taking the car you can reach the centre of Lucca in 8 minutes. Lucca is a lovely city surrounded by Renaissance city walls it has lots of interesting historical places and museums to visit as well as great café’s, restaurants and ice cream parlours. From Lucca you can make day trips to: Pisa  which is the home of the world-famous Leaning Tower. Florence is the main and biggest city, right at the heart of Tuscany. A symbol of beauty and artistic excellence, it attracts visitors from all over the globe with its gorgeous Cathedral and famous Dome designed by Brunelleschi. Florence is home to the Uffizi Gallery, one of the greatest museums in the world and the best place to appreciate Renaissance art.  This is a splendid city surrounded by green hills and adorned with some of the finest architecture in Italy. Carrara, the ‘city of marble’ has an interesting Cathedral, and makes a useful base to explore the Apuan Alps. For the more adventurous we are very close to the Apuan Alps from here you can enjoy, hiking, trekking or climbing, or you can arrive on the coast in less than half an hour (Viareggio or Marina di Vecchiano) and enjoy to go cycling or explore the beachs and surrounding Pine forests. Guest access Guests have access to the house by a side entrance. The room has a private bathroom with spacious shower. A kettle is provided in the room to prepare tea and herbal teas. In front of the room there is a portion of the garden for your use, with a table where you can choose to have breakfast or where you can sit and enjoy the peace, relax or read a book Other things to note As a family we have recently moved here from Rome we were becoming tired of the busy city life. We chose this area because it is a countryside area but still has other residents so is not totally remote and is close to the city. we always like to meet new people and enjoy offering advise on places to visit and how to enjoy your holiday. Previously I owned a coffee shop in Rome, I like cooking for others and make sure everyone has what they need, and I bake excellent cakes!
