Detached from the main house is our apartment. One block from ‘the square', this private suite offers incredible convenience: walking to all of the historic district shops, restaurants, and events. NOTE: location is on the parade route. The space Detached Apt Suite: Our suite is perfect for a couple attending weekend events or shopping on the square. Walk to a variety of great restaurants..... Babes' Chicken House (Family country style), Christina's American Grill (4-Star quality food and service), 1890 Grill (fine dining and steaks), Farina's (upscale wine café), Baron’s Creek Winery (great wine atmosphere and small bites {it might not sound like much but a good glass of wine and their frozen pizza is amazing afternoon combo!!} and Paradise Bistro (for a great egg-sandwich and coffee breakfast!). However, our historical home and suite are not handicap/wheelchair compliant). Covered Parking (shade in TX in the summer is nice). Other things to note Vintage door needs a little nudge to open. This suite has NO Television... so... We are in the heart of downtown. Expect street noise and live music a block away. Small refrigerator and a Keurig machine. We have strong WiFi access (to stream movies or shows to your tablet). The air conditioning/heating is set with a remote digital thermometer. We keep it at 69 but with a quick text or call to us..and we'll set to exactly your favorite temp. We respond via text quickly to adjust it. The bed is King size. We won't enter the space without permission. (No smoking on campus... if you do smoke the porches at Bob’S and Fuzzy’s are smoke-friendly. Just across the street). Also, there is a cigar lounge next-door to Bob’s. The owners are very nice. You’re welcome to use the shady front porch of the big house for coffee in the mornings. You’re welcome to use the backyard courtyard. If any basic/essentials need to be restocked just let us know.
