Perched above beautiful bush, valley, farm and mountain views - and only 1.5 hours from Melb via Warragul - our newly renovated farm cottage retreat with a huge new deck is the perfect quiet private getaway for a romantic couple, extended family or small group of friends. The space Kookaburra Cottage sleeps 4pp, in a queen bedroom and twin single bedroom (4pp) while the adjacent self-contained studio (2pp) has its own lovely timber breakfast bar, bathroom and spacious master bedroom. If you want to book both spaces fur two couples - ie. two queen bedrooms each with own bathroom - one will be in the separate studio with an additional $70 pp pn cost, while the other booking is for the cottage . Both the cottage and the studio have free wifi and fast internet speeds (WFH?), air con, heating, free shared BBQ, firebox with wood provided, TV and firepit, all in relaxed and peaceful rural setting. Near the famous Grand Ridge Road, with its wineries, breweries and beautiful scenery, bush walk along Moonlight Creek in nearby Mount Worth state park, or stay quietly on the farm and enjoy its serenity! Ideal for a chilled and romantic weekend getaway, friends get-together, or for a special family occasion . Children will have great fun; dogs allowed with prior arrangement. Guest access mount worth farm is a beautiful 300 acre property of about two thirds thick rainforest and one third grassy paddocks. Your are welcome to walk around the farm as our cattle and sheep are very calm, as long as gates are shut or left as they were. Pls check with rob and sue if there are paddocks or places where it is best not to walk (ie if cows are calving or there is a bull present). Other things to note DOGS: We prefer dogs are left at home. Mount worth is a working cattle and sheep farm surrounded by national park and some dogs will not suit the environment. It is also not much fun for them here, as they need to be on leash all the time. We are not anti-dog and I am sure your dog s absolutely gorgeous but we are a farm with sheep, lambs and cattle. If a dog ran into a paddock with cows minding their young calves, it could get kicked and hurt. Lambs and sheep are very vulnerable to dog attack and our guarding alpacas will kick any dogs to death. There is also Ratsak in some sheds. We also have so many beautiful birds and native animals such as wombats and wallabies. Consequently, all dogs need to be on leash at all times when walking around the farm. The cottage does have a covered small yard /carport specially designed so you can leave your dog there when you go walking. Because of guest allergies we also don’t allow dogs in the cottage or bedrooms, but they could sleep in the laundry inside the back of the house.
