Lambing time Feb to April an experience not to be missed. Our static caravan is situated on a working farm in the hills of North Wales overlooking the the Dee estuary and wirral peninsula. Chester is 20 minutes by car and snowdonia about 50 minutes away. The space You have 100 acres of our farm land to roam and 2000 acres of common land right next door with open access. Dogs should be kept on a lead in most areas on the farm. please ask if you want somewhere for your dog to run free. Other things to note LAMBING TIME February to April will be lambing season come and learn how we help the new mums along. Help feed the lambs and and watch the mums giving birth. The aim on our farm is to produce 600 lambs and 70 beef animals reared from grass whilst keeping and enhancing the biodiversity of the farm. Grass fed farming systems sequests carbon so everything we produce helps our environment. Our beef is sold to an abattoir which supplies the likes of Coop and McDonald's. Our lambs are sold in the local Market town of Mold which are purchased by butchers in the locality. The electricity in the caravan and two houses on the farm are supplied by the farms wind turbine and solar panels. Please ask me anything you want to know about our farm or food production in the UK.
