The former inn is in a quiet location in the Kalkalpen National Park and is an ideal starting point for hikes (Sengsengebirge - Feichtau) and bike rides. The Steyrtal cycle path leads past the house and many tours through the national park can be started directly from the house. In summer as well as in winter, the area offers a great range of leisure activities. (e.g. skiing and cross-country skiing in Hinterstoder - 25 minutes, swimming at the Klaus reservoir - 5 minutes)
