Yomitan Village - Exchange Type Accommodation

Thank you for visiting my page! My wife and I were born and raised in Okinawa. We live in an Okinawan old fashioned house with a dog "Hana" and spend our time taking care of our dog, growing vegetables, playing musical instruments and talking with our guests. The house was build about 40 years ago, but it has comfortable space. It's located in quiet area and surrounded by nature. You will be relaxed and feel as if you lived here. Welcome to our house and experience our life. The space We provide one guest room with doublebed and breakfast. Towels, shampoo, body soap, toothpaste are available. t's so quiet around here that you can hear nothing but sounds of nature. You will be relaxed and have comfortable time. This house is a 45-year-old traditional Okinawan "Muutuyā", a home that serves as the central gathering place for extended family. Although it looks like a regular house from the outside, the interior is designed like a traditional Okinawan home. Behind the ichibanza (main guest room) is a guest room, and behind the nibanza (second sitting room) is the host’s room. Please note that the guest room and host room are adjacent, so if you're sensitive to noise, this may not be the best fit for you. The house combines the traditional layout and atmosphere of old Okinawan homes—based on local feng shui principles—with modern elements for comfort. Guest access It's not allowed to enter our bed room. During your stay We can help our guests anytime! Other things to note 1. We usually get up at 4:30am and go to bed around 9pm. 2. Guest room and host room adjoin each other. So be quiet after 10pm.(the walls are not thick) 3. Public transportation here is really poor. you should rent a car to see around Okinawa. 4. It takes 1 hour and a half from the airport to my place by a car.(depending on the traffic conditions though) If your flight arrives at the airport after 7 p.m, you should avoid booking my place. 5. The road in front of my house is really narrow, so be careful when you drive through. 6. The nearest bus stop (喜名Kina) is 25 min away from my place on foot(2.1KM). 7. There're few buses and taxies around here. 8. There are only a few restaurants and cafes within walking distance. 9. Smoking is not allowed. 10. We are interested in different cultures, but if you are not interested in our lifestyle and Okinawan culture, please do not apply for a reservation. 11. We are morning birds, so if you are night owls, please do not make a reservation. It could be stressful for both guests and hosts if we have different life rhythms.
