Newly Built Wine Country Cottages

Two newly built cottages with a private pool and a private hot tub surrounded by pine trees and lavender bushes. Both cottages are included in your stay. The main cottage has 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living room. The second cottage we call the "pool house" is a big open space with 2 pull-out sofas and 1 bathroom. Please note that we list the pool house as a third bedroom. The space We welcome you to our totally private, very green, adjoining cottages on an 11.5 acre estate on a quiet street. You are on a self-contained part of the property separated from our house by distance, trees, and hills. You’ll think you’re miles away from anything, but you’re only a 7 minute drive from Sonoma’s historic town square and 5-10 minutes drive from the dozens of Sonoma’s best wineries—Gundlach Bundschu, Ravenswood, Buena Vista, Scribe, plus the many tasting rooms downtown. But we wouldn’t blame you for just hanging around the pool! Here’s why: Our 16x40 foot pool is solar heated to 86 degrees in the swimming months. The pool has a “Baja Bench” - a large entrance step with table, chairs and umbrella - for those who would rather exercise by raising a glass while sitting with their feet in the water. A 4-person hot tub with multiple power jets, an outdoor shower and comfortable reclining lounges and umbrellas are part of the terrace and deck. The main cottage has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and one half bathroom. The upstairs bedroom, accessible by outdoor stairs, is called the Cloud Room, overlooking oaks, pine trees, lavender and a vineyard in the distance. The bathroom has an oversized tub as well as a shower. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom have their own deck a few steps from the hot tub. The great room has a comfortable living and dining area, modern fully-equipped kitchen and a half bath. The adjoining pool house cottage is a large open room that can sleep 4 people on pull-out sofas. It has a full bathroom with a shower and dual sinks. Inside is a gas fireplace with a large screen TV over the mantel. The room has state of the art surround sound for music, DVDs, or cable. Huge sliding glass doors open to the pool. The terrace has an outdoor dining table, a wood-burning fireplace with gas jet assist, and a barbecue. There are three separate solar systems: pool, PV, and hot water pre heat. Your carbon footprint will be very low. Other niceties and amenities: full heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans in both houses, washer and dryer, ice maker and crusher in the refrigerator/freezer, coffee machine and coffee provided, and a small refrigerator in the Pool House. The living room, the bedrooms, and the pool house each have flat screen TVs and sound system with separate controls for each room for separate viewing or listening. There are outside speakers by the pool as well. And there is plenty of room for parking. You'll love it! Guest access Guests have access to the cottages, the pool and hot tub at the cottages and the driveway. We ask that they do not explore the rest of the property. Other things to note Maximum 8 people We ask that guests sign a contract. In summary, the contract goes over the security deposit details and states that you will leave the property in the same condition as it was when you arrived (except for normal wear and tear), that you do not exceed the number of people on the property agreed upon during booking, and you indemnify and hold us harmless for any injuries.
