Location Location Location This is our remodeled, 1967 Southern California ranch style home located in the exclusive neighborhood, "The Greens", in Rancho Bernardo, "A suburb of San Diego". The 5 star Rancho Bernardo Inn is literally out the back gate giving you access to restaurants, golf, spa, and more. You don't want to miss it and there's no need to drive. Centrally located between, The Beach, Lego Land, Sea World, The San Diego Zoo, San Diego Safari Park, La Jolla, and Downtown. All of these mentioned destinations are 10 to 30 minutes away. Disneyland is only an hour and ½ away. With advance request we can provide a guest membership to the Rancho Bernardo swim and tennis club with additional pools, hot tubs, tennis, and more. Optional pool heating charges explained: Note: We also have pool solar so it's not necessary to use the gas heater to heat the pool April-Oct! The solar array, "weather permitting", will keep the pool in the 80 and 90's if you desire. No charge for using the solar array. Sun is still free in California ;) April 24th the pool is 80 deg from solar only. If using the gas heater to heat the pool or hot tub we look at therm usage online after your stay and charge accordingly. San Diego Gas and Electric charges $2.75 per therm. To heat the hot tub for an evening 1-5 therms. To heat the pool in the middle of winter, "52 deg to 80 deg", about 40 therms. To keep it at this temp the rest of your stay. 20-30 therms per day. These are all just averages based off of observation over the past few years of renting. Also, the Rancho Bernardo Swim and Tennis club is a mile down the street with outdoor heated pools, hot tubs, and more. Please just request a guest pass upon booking. It's free but I need to go down and pick it up for you. Pets and pet fees explained: Dogs 15 lb and under that are well behaved and potty trained are welcome. Please ask first and we have a $20 per day per fee. As for payment I just sum up these charges at the end of your stay and send you a payment request through AirBnb. For clarification from past guests: We don't live here.  We're empty nesters with another house and vacation rent this place most of the time now.  We raised the kids here and moved to another house when the youngest went off to college. There are no personal kids items left in the house.  The bedrooms are empty except for decorative items or items left for your use like board games, guitars, x-box games and books.  There are plenty of hangers in the closets for your use.  There is no clothing in the house. Linens are for your use. The Master closet is kept locked.  The adjacent Office provides plenty of storage space for the Master Bedroom and the dresser is empty and available for clothing. The refrigerator is empty except for one freezer shelf. There is a give and take bin of soaps and shampoos. The washer & dryer are available for your use. We live on a golf course.  The backyard occasionally gets a golf ball.  I've put in nets to protect the sitting areas.  In the 17 years we've lived here, our family, kids, and friends have never come in contact with a golf ball, but they are present. Please note, we are extremely CLEAN and TIDY people.  This does not mean everything is new and shiny, but it will be clean. The Kitchen remodel is next.  Guests describe the kitchen as shabby chic.  Everything works and everything you need is there. (Pots & pans, dishes, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Water Boiler, Blender, Toaster Oven, Double Oven and Fridge.)  Some drawers stick some knobs are missing.  1 of the 5 stovetop burners does not work.
