Country Escape at Glastonbury House

Nested in the valley with a little winter stream we welcome you to relax at our semi-rural property. Beautiful in all seasons, wake peacefully to bird songs and frogs croaking, watch the majestic gum trees from your bed, take a walk through the garden or simply relax and read a book. Discover the Australian wildlife (a family of kangaroos, possums and beautiful birdlife) or watch our neighbour’s sheep graze in the paddock. Great for solo travellers, couples, to families with small children. The space Enter though your private ground level entrance to a one bedroom granny flat featuring a pot belly stove for colder days, reverse circle air-con, a comfy queen bed, and a bath. It has a kitchenette with some essentials provided. A barbeque can be used upon request. We can also provide a travel bed, high chair and some toys for babies/ toddlers. There are pets and live stock at our property. Other things to note Stay at the gateway to the famous wineries of the Adelaide Hills and historical Hahndorf. Picturesque country driving will get you to McLaren Vale (45 min), Fleurieu Peninsula (1 hour) and the Barossa Valley (1 hour). The beautiful town of Nairne with a great café and several restaurants is only a short drive or a 15 min walk away. Mount Barker with all major shopping centres is a 15 minute drive away.
