The space The B&B Villa Loriana is located close to the Etna National Park, just 600 meters from the Main Square of Milo and 28 km from Taormina and Catania. The room we offer is a haven of comfort and beauty, designed with attention to detail and restored with Sicilian craftsmanship. It is equipped with constant ventilation in summer thanks to its shaded position, keeping it warm and cozy during the winter. The room boasts its own private exit that leads to the outdoor terrace of the villa, offering a breathtaking view of a magnificent panorama. Guest access Guests will have free access to all common areas, both inside and outside the villa, which include: a living room with a large central fireplace and flat-screen TV, a 6 vs 6 volleyball court, a 7 x 3 professional bocce court, a 7.6 x 3.8 above-ground pool, ping pong, and a garden on a level of about 2200 square meters with an umbrella and deckchairs. In addition, there is a panoramic terrace overlooking Etna, Taormina and Calabria, a solar shower, Wi-Fi, and free private parking. During your stay Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by Luca, the manager of Villa Loriana. For a sweet awakening, every morning upon request we serve our kind guests a rich breakfast prepared with homemade sweet and savory baked goods, typical of the Sicilian culinary tradition. Breakfast is served upon request at a cost of €5 per person per day. Other things to note Villa Loriana is located 600 meters from the main square of Milo, a charming town on the slopes of Etna, known as the "City of Wine and Music". This picturesque village is an ideal starting point to explore the Etna volcano, located just 15 minutes away. Milo is famous for its cultural events that take place throughout the year and offers a breathtaking view from Belvedere Square, where you can admire the sparkle of the Ionian Sea and the Calabrian coasts, with views that extend from Syracuse to Taormina. The excursions on Etna mainly start from Milo, with the Mareneve road that quickly leads to the northeast side of the volcano, Piano Provenzana. Here, visitors can explore the Thieves' Cave, which is easily accessible and suitable for everyone, provided they have suitable shoes and a torch. The Mareneve also offers the opportunity to walk along the 2002 lava flow, which has recently been paved. In Piano Provenzana, you can enjoy an almost entirely lava landscape or take the jeep-buses that take you up to 3,000 meters, passing through the astrophysical observatory. The landscape is unique and lunar, with vegetation that completely disappears and pungent air even in the middle of August. Here, you are very close to the central mouth of an active volcano, a truly unique experience. Piano Provenzana also offers a restaurant and wooden houses where you can buy food and souvenirs. For those who want to extend the excursion, it is possible to pass through Linguaglossa, where it is almost mandatory to buy sausage and meat jelly in the renowned local shops. Alternatively, you can explore the southern side of the volcano, following the signs for Etna-south to the Sapienza Refuge, from which you can take the cable car or jeeps to Torre del Filosofo, for an equally surprising experience.
