“Magical” log cabin on 300 ft of Puget Sound. Panoramic East views with Mt Rainier front & center. Large jetted hot tub, Sport court, swing set, play house, outdoor shower and 80 steps to the beach. King bdrm, queen bdrm and a queen air mattress for the living rm. Relax, watch the sunrise, eagles, seals & passing ships from the 1,200 sq ft deck. Cook on the 5 burner BBQ, sit around the propane fire pit. Explore the beach, canoe, play pickle ball/basketball, games, cards and explore island life! The space 2 story cabin: Main floor, fully equipped kitchen, cathedral ceiling, open dining and living with fireplace and TV. King bdrm, shower, bathroom, stacked washer/dryer. Up the steep spiral staircase: loft desk area, queen bdrm with ensuite sink/toilet. An additional blow up Queen is available to use in the living room. Outdoor hot water shower is next to the hot tub, and beach stairs. Use to rinse off before tubing or clean sand from feet, dogs, toys after a beach visit or to take an outdoor shower! Kids: There is a 4 seat swing set, sport court/pickleball court, play house (all visible from the cabin). Toys and games. You could even sleep under the stars on the deck and adventures on the beach! The beach: there is direct access by 80 steep steps (a great workout!) to the sandy upper beach that starts to get rocky in some points. Search for sea glass, sand dollars, and build sandcastles at low tide. Beach toys, air mattress, blow-up paddle board, kayak and canoe are available for use by our guests. Take towels or chairs down to the beach for swimming or relaxing. The Island: We are a 30 minute drive from either ferry (north or south end), we have wonderful restaurants, grocery shopping, weekend markets, island art galleries, cafes and movie theater are available 20 minutes away in the town of Vashon. The island has parks, boat rentals, horse trails, beaches and swim areas. Public pool. Nine-hole golf course with restaurant and outdoor pool. Drive to Point Robinson lighthouse, visit the island troll, Oscar the Bird King, by Thomas Dambo. Visit family-friendly Palouse Winery, or enjoy bird-watching or hiking on nearby trails. Vashon Adventures has electric bikes and kayaks to rent. My online guidebook has lots of links. The cabin is 2 miles from Dockton where a bus runs to town and the ferry. There are pickleball, basketball, soccer ball and other games available. It is very safe. I rarely lock it. At night I pull the blinds to keep the sun out in the am.
