The space Central studio apartment in a cozy old nordland house, close to the square and the harbor in the cozy little village of Kabelvåg. The apartment is spacious with sleeping space and living room in one, with dining area, well equipped studio kitchen and bathroom with washing machine. There are beds for two people and it is possible to make the sofa bed for one more. Grocery store and bus stop just a few blocks away. About Kabelvåg: Kabelvåg is the oldest urban community in Lofoten and fishing was the basis of the location's existence for 1000 years. Here you will find peace and quiet, colorful wooden house buildings and a cozy harbor. Kabelvåg has an artistic and creative environment, and is a popular studio with, among other things. Nordland Kunst og Filmfagskole and Lofoten Folk High School. In Kabelvåg you will find cafe/bar, pub, restaurant, grocery store, kiosk, unique small shops, galleries, museum, aquarium, boat and bike rentals, tour guides, nice little walks, hiking trails of different degrees. Between Svolvær (5 km) and Henningsvær (19 km) our small town is a nice base with relatively short road to various excursions, both in mountains, fields, on the sea and for cultural experiences. Kabelvåg also hosts several international festivals in art, film, photography, and classical music. Activities: Lots of opportunities for excursions. It takes 5 min to walk out on the pier or to get an overview of Kabelvåg from the statue Kong Øystein. The Aquarium, Galleri Espolin and the Lofot Museum are within about 15 min walk. There are also many great areas for mountain hiking, climbing and kayaking trips nearby. 10 min drive to great beaches. You can also get around by bike. It is about 25 min drive to golf course and horse riding on Gimsøy and about 50 min it takes to the surf beach Unstad. Culture houses and cinema in Svolvær offer versatile entertainment and various restaurants and outdoor spaces. Otherwise, several markets and festivals are held in Lofoten throughout the year. Access: From Oslo, fly to Bodø, then to Svolvær, a total of about 2.5 hours of travel. From Svolvær airport it is about 15 minutes to drive to Kabelvåg. Flying to Narvik/Evenes is also possible. From Evenes it also takes about 2.5 hours by car. You may also take the fast route or fast boat from Bodø to Svolvær.
