This apartment is a rare Japanese-style residence, ideal for two guests, located beside the Takase River. Preserving traditional elements such as tatami, it was once home to a real geisha. While major sightseeing spots are within walking distance, guests can enjoy peaceful river views from the private balcony, where ducks often visit. The apartment has one 6-tatami bedroom and one 6-tatami living room. For stays of up to four guests, the living room can be used as an additional sleeping space in the evening. The rooms are separated by sliding doors, offering a degree of privacy, but sound may travel between rooms. It comes with a small bathtub and shower, a separate toilet, and a fully equipped kitchenette for your convenience. From the balcony, you can enjoy views of cherry trees just a few meters across the Takase River. Ducks visit the river almost every day, which is especially popular with children. Please note that smoking is not allowed inside the apartment (smoking is only permitted on the balcony). The apartment is on the second floor. As with all traditional Japanese houses, you need to remove your shoes at the entrance and then climb a slightly steep staircase to reach the apartment. (We recommend keeping your luggage small.) ※Please note that this is an older, traditional wooden building, and sounds—especially footsteps from the second floor—can travel easily to the first floor. We would appreciate guests who are considerate of this when staying with us.
