70 m2 flat with private balcony in Copenhagen
Description
70m2 flat in central Nørrebro, Copenhagen, private balcony, Weber gasgrill, shared garden, washing machine. Ideal for 2-3 adults, a couple or a couple with kids. The space Welcome to Jagtvej and to Copenhagen I hope you’ll have a great stay and will be happy to help with any questions you might have while you’re here. Below are answers to questions we’ve had before and a few do’s & don’ts. Wi-Fi: 4G Wi-Fi 3Danmrak-5CB1 Password: bluebird Do’s & Don’ts The flat is strictly non smoking, and we also don’t allow smoking on the balconies on the main floor. The reason being that no matter how much smokers pay attention cigaret butts always end up on the garden below. Dish washer soap tabs are in the cupboard below the kitchen sink. Place the soap in the appropriate container in the door and choose program. Guests are welcome, but not to stay over and house parties are not allowed. The building is a co-op and has strict regulations. Loud music is not allowed. Washing machine You may use the washing machine. Soap is on the left side. Place a soap into the big right compartment of the drawer on the machine and choose you program. When ready, push the on button. Another push on that bottom will pause the machine. When is ready to open it will make a click sound and at the end also some bip sounds. Oven To turn the oven start pushing 1st button to the left. Now choose your program on the 2nd button, just keep pushing. The pre programed end temperature will show for a will, then it will change to the start temperature and slowly start raising. If you want to change the temperature use the + and - to go up or down. I will make a little bip, when the top temperature is reached. Turn it off on the same button as you turned it on. Grill First of all: Do it right. Wrong use might cause an explosion. OSB! Never turn it on with the lit on. It must be open when you turn it on! Open the lit Turn on the gas so the red dot is facing up and the gas bottle. Turn the biggest wheel all to the right to the lightning symbol by pushing it and turning at the same time. Hold it in and click on the red bottom to the left a couple of times on till the flames are stample. To also activate the flames in the middle, just turn the little will. Now you can close the lit. Watch the temperature! When you are done, turn the wheels to O-symbol. That will take out the flames. VERY IMPORTANT: turn of the gas on the gas bottle. Please clean up the grill, so no food is left. Garbage The garbage bins are in the court yard inside the shelters. Please watch out for the different purposes of the bins. One is for paper recycling, another for card board, glass bottles, etc. When you leave the apartment at the end of your stay we kindly ask you to leave used linnen, bedsheets, towels, etc. in a pile on the floor in the bathroom. We would appreciate if you empty the bins and make sure to close all windows and balcony doors. Groceries For food shopping I recommend Kvickly on Falkoner Allé (large) or Netto or Coop365 (both discount, but good) in Rantzausgade or the very popular Torvehallerne market next to Nørreport station. Cafes and Restaurants For a quick bite, to stay or go, Falafelkælderen in Rantzausgade 14 (across from Irma) has delicious Lebanese meze as well as falafel and kebab. Nihao Yao has great Taiwanese street food at very affordable prices. It’s right around the corner, Rantzausgade 52. Spisebar 20 in Rantzausgade 20 has great, simple food and cocktails. Sidecar on Skyttegade 5 serves the best brunch in town - make sure to book a table. Scarpetta in Rantzausgade 7, is a slightly upscale Italian restaurant with good reviews The very cute Jægersborggade (a street on the other side of Jagtvej) has loads of boutiques, cafes, fresh bread, donuts, wine, etc. Bars A stellar cocktail bar literally just around the corner in Rantzausgade 39 is Gilt (behind black wooden panels): A cool beer bar is Kølsters, literally around the corner in Rantzausgade 56. They have out door seating, and the only draw is that they close at midnight sharp. Tjili Pop is also in Rantzausgade (many things are) and is a more relaxed bar, with lots of students and less hipsters. Wednesdays offer Live Music including an open mic session. Transportation The Metro takes you about anywhere and the "Nuuk Plads" station is just across the street. Busses In Rantzausgade/Borups Allé you’ll find bus lines 12 and 66 going to and from Copenhagen Central station with connection to the airport. They usually run with intervals of about ten minutes and it’s a ten minute ride to the station, a bit more during rush hours. In Jagtvej there’s the frequent bus 8a connecting Nordhavn train station with Frederiksberg and beyond. Forum metro station is a 10 minutes walk away (check google maps for directions) and gets you directly to the airport in less than 20 minutes (if you catch the right line). For all public transportation planning we recommend the website Rejseplanen in either English or German. Biking is obviously a big thing here, even for the cool kids, and a means of transportation we’d far recommend it above anything else. As for bike rentals we don't have any personal experience, but there are these two options fairly close to the flat. Check the internet for the closest. The public bicycle service has a stand just in front of the building. The white ones. They are electric, helping you pedal. You book on an hourly basis and pay with your credit card. Local sightseeing Don’t miss Assistens Kirkegård, the beautiful cemetery and park next door with a number of famous graves (Hans Christian Andersen, Søren Kierkegaard, Niels Bohr and local rapper celebrity Natasja) or Nørrebroparken across Jagtvej along the bike path with playgrounds and sun bathers and barbecuers (if it’s that kind of weather) If you continue for about one kilometer you’ll reach the funky Red square and after that the Black square. There is a (slightly rough) public miniature golf course, open all day, year round, in Hans Tavsens Park, tugged away behind the basketball and football courts. It’s a real gem, known to few. It is not staffed and so you’ll need to bring your own club and balls.
