An exceptional experience awaits! The space An exclusive apartment of Pombaline architecture, located in the most prestigious part of the Alfama district. Set within a fully restored historic building, this modern and spacious residence accommodates up to six guests. The layout features three bedrooms and three bathrooms: The Master Suite: Includes a double bed (160cm x 200cm), an en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub, fantastic views, and direct terrace access. Bedroom 2: Furnished with two single beds (90cm x 200cm). Bedroom 3: Furnished with two single beds (80cm x 200cm). The apartment further offers an additional full bathroom with a shower, a guest powder room, and a large, fully equipped kitchen. The elegant living and dining area is designed for comfort, boasting breathtaking 180-degree views of the city and river, with seamless access to the terrace. Expansive windows flood the space with natural light, highlighting the apartment’s unique charm. From the modern living areas, you can admire the Tagus River and its magnificent estuary, famously known as the "Sea of Straw" (Mar da Palha). No words can truly capture the golden sun reflecting on the water as boats pass just meters away, or the timeless beauty of Alfama’s rooftops and monuments. This home is nestled in a Lisbon of hidden corners and narrow alleys where the soulful sounds of Fado drift through the air. Alfama is a vibrant, fashionable neighborhood teeming with palaces, museums, art galleries, and scenic viewpoints. Lose yourself in its beautiful shops and trendy restaurants, or enjoy a drink at a terrace café to feel the local soul—all just steps from your front door. Guest access Make yourself at home! You'll have full access to all areas of the apartment. You are walking distance from the highlights of Lisbon. Going out of the apartment, you have everything you need for a pleasant stay: all kinds of transportation, supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, banks, ATM machines, shops, restaurants, theaters, museums, parking facilities, nightlife, art galleries, and monuments. Other things to note Please review the information below in detail. Note that the apartment is located on the ground floor and requires going up 6 stair steps (there is no elevator). Self Check-In with 24/7 staff support available for assistance. CHECK-IN TIME: Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM or later. LUGGAGE DROP OFF (Free of Charge): You are welcome to arrive any time from 11:30 AM to drop off your luggage and collect the keys free of charge. EARLY CHECK IN : is subject to availability. If the apartment is ready upon your arrival, you are welcome to check in earlier than 3:00 PM (an additional fee may apply, depending on the arrival time). Most of the time we are only able to confirm if earlier check-in is available the day before your arrival. If you wish to guarantee an early check-in in advance, we suggest booking the apartment for the previous night (subject to availability). CHECK-OUT TIME: Check-out time is 11:00 AM at the latest. This allows us sufficient time to prepare the apartment for arriving guests. Unless you have agreed to a late check-out in advance, please ensure the apartment is vacated by 11:00 AM. LUGGAGE STORAGE: Departure day we can store your luggage until 13:00, for free. Enjoy your last hours in the city without luggage. Also available for early arrivals-By prior arrangement luggage storage and delivery can be arranged ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE: • The street where the apartment is located has restricted vehicle traffic and limited parking. We suggest the parking located a 2-minute walk away. While this street location means the apartment is quieter than most areas, it does mean that Taxis and Ubers will likely have to drop you off at the end of the street. This is only a 300-meter walk with a slight incline or street stais. • Private Transfer (Airport, train stations, rental cars) and Tours: Available upon request. Car access to the building's entrance ensures convenient pick-up and drop-off. • The apartment is located in a historic area of central Lisbon, where most buildings do not have elevators. • Therefore, it is not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with mobility problems. • The stairs are safe and easy to climb, but we suggest you travel with light luggage. • Lisbon is a very walkable city, as long as you're willing to contend with some steep hills. The city is very easy to explore on foot if you're in good health, but the narrow, cobbled streets and many steep inclines can make it challenging if you have limited mobility or reduced fitness. AIMA Please note that it is a mandatory requirement under Portuguese law to report all guests' identification details to the national immigration authority (AIMA). This is a standard procedure and is obligated before check-in. Baby Friendly Amenities (Available on request at no extra cost): • Baby cot (crib) • Baby beddings (linens/blankets) • Stroller • High chair (baby chair) HOUSEKEEPING AND AMENITIES: Towels and Linens Clean towels, linens, and sheets are provided for all confirmed guests. We prepare the apartment and beds based strictly on the number of guests indicated in the reservation. Extended Stays (7+ Days): Cleaning services and changes of bedding and towels are available upon request and can be scheduled during your stay ADDITIONAL SERVICES: There is no daily cleaning service or replacement of towels/linens included. You can arrange for additional house cleanings or replacements for an extra fee. SELF- CATERING: We provide a complimentary starter supply of essentials like toilet paper and detergent. This is a self-catering rental, so you will need to restock these items yourself once they run out NOISE ADVISORY: While most guests do not report issues with noise, please be aware of the following characteristics of the apartment's location: 1. Building Insulation: Due to the age of the building, sound insulation is limited compared to modern standards. You may hear ambient noise from the neighbors. 2. Neighborhood Activity: The apartment is in a lively residential area. Street noise is audible, particularly with open windows. 3. Seasonal Festivities: The week of June 13th hosts the Saint Anthony Festivities. The historic center will be busier than usual, and this specific area may experience significant noise until late at night, especially on June 12th. SILENCE HOURS & GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD: Please do not make noise or host parties. We kindly ask that you respect the neighbors, as the apartment is located in a residential area. Guests must respect the "Silence Hours". It is strictly forbidden to create noise in the communal areas (stairways, balconies, windows) or within the apartment during this time. We ask that you be particularly mindful and careful in the stairs when returning home late at night. OTHERS: • The apartment will be prepared according to the number of guests on the reservation • No Smoking inside the apartment • No pets allowed. • No parties allowed • Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
