Backwater stay in Cochin

Two rooms for rent in our new house on the Kerala backwaters. Rooms have king sized beds and attached (private) bathrooms with showers. Cots can be added to the rooms at no cost. Fort Cochin is 15 min by car or auto and 25 min by bus (bus stop is in front of house). We will arrange a free airport pickup for you. Breakfast is included. The space This is a beautiful, new house and is kept very clean. We've planted a lot of native trees and plants to attract birds and butterflies, and it's relaxing to sit on the porch looking out at the backwaters and watch the birds, butterflies and squirrels flutter around the garden. We have kingfishers, woodpeckers, barbets, tailor birds, sun birds, kites and many more. We also have bats that come by in the evenings looking for bananas. Guest access Guests will have access to their own bedroom and bathroom with shower. Breakfast is provided, but guests can also use the kitchen to cook their own meals during the day or in the evenings or can request to have other meals prepared. Guests also have free reign of the garden. Guests can also watch the tv in one of the living rooms. You can also access our yoga room. The house has WiFi. During your stay We're always happy to give guests advice on what to do around Cochin and to help them find their way or make further travel plans. We're a very relaxed household, so our interaction level with the guests will mostly depend on what guests want. Other things to note This place is ideal for couples or families who want to visit Fort Cochin but don't want to stay in a busy tourist area. We also have another property, a cabin that you can rent near the city of Valparai, nestled between the only patch of rainforest in South India and scenic tea estate country. We're happy to help you arrange stays in this area as well and can offer any other travel advice you may require. We've both traveled fairly extensively around India.
