Retreat in the Countryside: Zen Vouga

Welcome to a traditional farm, on the outskirts of a rural village in Portugal. ZenVouga sits on 3 acres (1ha) of pure nature in a tranquil and idyllic setting. Comprised of 3 private houses for visitors, that may be rented separately, all-together we can comfortably sleep up to 16 adults for retreats, family gatherings and the like, and more than 20 if with children. We welcome everyone, regardless of ethnicity, colour, credence or sexual orientation. The farm is in our family since 1744. The space You are welcome to feel at home and use the facilities within the farm with care and respect. Two of the houses are on the ground floors, and there is only one other house where you need to use a short flight of stairs. We have a ramp for people in wheel chairs. All houses are fully furnished, please fee free to ask if there is anything that you should require as an extra or if you cannot find it. The farm is in a remote village in the countryside, so we don't have a public sewer system and so instead we use three septic tanks. Please don't put dangerous chemicals on the sink or toilet head and don't put too much paper or other things such as condoms, sanitary towels and the like. Guest access The guests may access all areas, apart from the main house and areas for facilities management, where we store equipments Other things to note Please bear in mind that this is not like living in the city. We try and keep things simple and sustainable, so please do keep your showers short (we have solar panels, so please be mindful of the others) and do not throw away too many things or bad chemicals in the toilets and wash basins, as we use septic tanks.
