We are also less than 1/2-hour away and can be quickly on site, if necessary. Guest access There is no Guest access to the following 2 spaces: 1) Garage; 2) Garden Shed. Guests are able to access every other part of the property except for the two spaces noted above. PARKING: two cars may park side-by-side on the Driveway. Additional vehicles may park parallel on Elder Avenue. To the left of our Driveway (seen as you face our house) is the most safe area in which to park. The City of Menlo Park prohibits parking in front of the house on Valparaiso Avenue. If Guests plan to park on Elder Avenue past 2:00 a.m., they will need to use a Temporary Overnight Parking Permit. The City of Menlo Park requires one permit /vehicle /night. We ask that Guests kindly message us in advance if they think that a Permit(s) may be needed during their stay. Guests who book after April 5th, 2025 will receive the first 10 permits at no charge; thereafter, each subsequent permit will cost $2.00 /each. AIR CONDITIONING: a portable unit can be made available UPON REQUEST. Other things to note We request that you please note our 3 following considerations: 1) We ask that all Guests kindly refrain from smoking on the property. This includes within the house, outside in both the Front and Back Gardens and on the Driveway. 2) PLEASE: NO PARTIES. Instead, we encourage thoughtful, well-managed gatherings with family, friends and/or associates. 3) Please avoid moving large pieces of furniture, most especially THE BEDS, AS THEY WILL DAMAGE ORIGINAL OAK HARDWOOD FLOORS. We ask that you allow our largest furniture pieces to "bloom where they are planted". Thank you very much for your kind attention to the above notices.
