Built in 1920 by D.C. Cook, this home isn't just a house, it's a part of Elgin's history. 4 Square architecture, creates a sense of balance and harmony that resonates throughout the home. But what sets our house apart is the vibrant life that pulsates within its walls. Our family is rooted in traditional Indian culture, we've infused our home with the warmth and vibrancy of our heritage. My husband, Mehtab and I are originally from India and love to travel. We have brought furniture, art and many practical household items from our travels. My husband has served 20 years as a US Army dentist and an officer. Now has opened his own dental clinic. He offers his services if you are in need of any treatment while visiting. I am a designer and creator of specialty bags and purses. My studio is in our garden basement. I would love to give a tour or even a short class on making a purse if interested. We would love to share a meal with you. Please let us know if you are interested. My brother has a farm so fresh eggs, honey, free range chicken grass fed lamb and beef may be in our menu!
