Our historic family farm has 180 acres. The main house has been renovated to reflect a Greek revival kind of architecture that was prevalent in this area during the early 1800’s. The guest house is of new construction and is attached to the garage. It has a private porch attached to the back. The space The guest house is quaintly and efficiently arranged. There is a queen size bed which is used by most guests without any difficulty. If you want to add another bed, there is a fold out twin size bed that works well for most adults and small children. There is a one time $20 fee if you use the extra twin sized bed. This fee can be paid on the day of your occupancy. There is no way to charge for an extra bed on the Airbnb site so we suggest that you have some cash in hand for this service. Sycamore Hill is situated in quietly serene countryside. The township road that divides the property sees little traffic. There are no immediate neighbors. Guest access Guests have access to the guest house and the both porches. The garage is not for guest use. Other things to note There are old order Amish farms in very near proximity. These are not the “modern” Amish that you might see in Lancaster, PA or to the south of us in the Berlin, Ohio area. This sect is more strict in their beliefs of living simply. Ask Molly and she would be glad to tell you about their lifestyle. You may see them frequently as they often use our road.
