Beautiful park/Frank Lloyd Wright homes are directly outside your door and you are only a 25-minute train ride to Millennium Park & all of Chicago! Eclectic garden level (shared) apartment decorated with fun and funky furnishings. Private Bedroom with new double size bed, deluxe bedding, towels. Shared bathroom, living room, and kitchenette. View my other 2 listings! The space Built in 1887, this LOWER LEVEL unit is decorated with fun and funky treasures I have picked up on my travels. With exposed brick walls and eclectic furnishings, my house has charm and moxy! I have tried to think of every detail to make you feel right at home. I hope you love it! *Private Bedroom (NO SMOKING) *Shared Bathroom (towels, shampoo, and hairdryer provided!) *Shared living room *Shared kitchenette *Hi speed WiFi included (Free!) *Laundry included (Free! Soap included!) 1) Bedroom: *Cool exposed brick wall and peacock blue walls. *Double Sized, memory foam mattress. So comfortable! *100% cotton sheets *Eclectic furnishings: vintage dresser, mirror, chair *reading lamps, vintage decor, and cool vintage latch hook rug *Heat: you control your own heat *Air conditioning: (bedroom only) There is a window unit during the summer months *Hangers, a fan and extra blankets and pillows are provided. *Extra pillows, extra blanket, and suitcase storage are under the bed Note: My home was built in 1887. For those of you over 6 feet tall, the ceiling is low in some parts of this lower level apartment. See pictures. 2) Bathroom: SHARED with 2 other rooms Petite bathroom with a large, walk-in shower. Just clean out your food, lock the door and leave :) Entrance to the apartment is in the BACK of the house. This is a townhouse, so, you will see my neighbors. Please be quiet and do not smoke. They are nice neighbors, but they like quiet guest! I LIVE UPSTAIRS so I can help you if you need it. I LIVE IN THE UPSTAIRS APARTMENT, so I am frequently home to help. I do work a lot, so if I am not around, you can text or email me for help. If I happen to be out of town, I will leave information for who you should contact for help. It is so easy to get into the city from my home!!! You simply walk 5-7 minutes to the train and ride 25 minutes into the city center! That's right - with just a short 25-minute train ride, you can be in Millennium Park! This listing is an economical and quality place to call home for a day, a week, or a month. Located in the heart of Oak Park, my neighborhood has a lot of offer - especially to those who love architecture! You can get to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio or any restaurants, stores, groceries, trains to Chicago, within 5 minutes of walking!! as far as Oak Park locations go, it doesn't get any better than this! *Green Line Train (Oak Park or Harlem stop three blocks from home or 5-7 minute walk). *Blue Line Train (Harlem stop is a 15-20 minute walk from my home) *Driving: you must park your car in the public parking garage conveniently located near my home. it is $16.00 per day. OR, you can download the parking app "Passport Parking". This will get you 3 free nights of street parking. You can purchase 7 more nights for $7.00. Do not park on the street during the day for longer than 2 hours and do not park on the street overnight without using the Passport Parking app or the public garage. You will get a ticket if you don't follow these rules. *Metra Train *Uber Taxi - you can ask me for my friend's number for a ride to the airport or rides around town. *Buses are also available My loveable golden doodle dog lives upstairs but she does not have access to your space. I live upstairs, too, but only interact with my guests if you want to :)
