Spacious 1200 sq. ft. 4 prs. snowshoes winter, 2 kayaks, & a canoe on the 6 1/2 mile Reservoir. Hiking & fishing summer & winter. "Memories Are Made Here." The space Beautifully and charmingly furnished with inviting elegance with a private stairway and entrance, fun electric fireplaces with adjustable flames, in the dining room/ living room and one in the master bedroom. The entire lower level apartment offers two large bedrooms with queen-size beds on opposite sides of the apartment for privacy, each having sound machines and alarm clocks; and large dining/living room combination with cable TV; Private bathroom having 2 separate entrances – one being right off the master bedroom, with large shower, washer, drier and soaking sink; A full length drape separates the interior of the bathroom to accomodate more private users at once. (the bathroom is supplied with, hair dryer, individual size hair shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, mouth wash and disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, combs, ear plugs, floss slides, and toothpaste.) Full kitchen with dishwasher, combination k cup and regular coffee machine, 12 complimentary k-cups, (decaf k-cups available upon request at no extra charge) quality cookware, individual packs of sleepy tea, raw and regular sugar and powdered coffee creamer, basic spices and spray cooking oil. Comfortable baseboard heat. Hair dryer, mirrors, flat iron and table board and first aid kit are there for your use. For the best cell phone reception, we will give you the wireless wifi passcode. We have a stash of just about every game for your enjoyment along with 2000, 1000, 500 and 300 piece jigsaw puzzles, with a folding card table and chairs to keep the dining and living room space free. Bronzes adorn the landscape, from the large bronze Chinese Eagle from about 1860, to the bronze girl, by Jesse B Amar with the red rose, who greets the animals as they come from the path, as well as the cupid with a water fountain in the summer and the 3 headed bronze horse. The sunsets are spectacular almost every night, especially in the summer. The view out the front door is magnificent, with verdant mountains and vast reservoir; pools and statuary. Barbara and Richard are wonderful, generous hosts who provided abundantly for our needs. The quality of all the essentials was superior - towels, bedding, kitchen materials, furnishings were all high end. A short walk down a charming woodsy path to the reservoir for swimming, boating kayaking or canoeing, makes it wonderful place for vacation. We also send you an in depth list of area activities in every category, (Banks and Pharmacys) which includes web sites, address and phone numbers, in case you have some extra time on your hand. Guest access Guests have access to the entire 1200 sq. ft. apartment as well as all the 7 surrounding acres and the use of the Waterbury Reservoir and the Green Mountains to enjoy. You the use of a canoe and 2 kayaks, with life jackets and beach towels going along with them, for use in a small walk from the suite. There you can swim, canoe and kayak on this land or you can go below to the Waterbury Center Day Use Area having a sandy swimming area. There are many, many golf courses right around us within 5 minutes. We have a grill for your use on your deck and a fire pit grill covered unit in the picnic area for grilling and romantic fires at night next to the 3/4 acre pond. Other things to note To gain this privacy, the house is set down in. One flight of stairs bring you to the private entrance of this suite when parking in the lower parking lot. When parking on the upper parking lot, two flights of stairs bring you to the entrance. In the winter all vehicles are to park in the upper parking lot, unless you have 4 wheel drive. When parking in the lower parking lot, it is limited to one vehicle. Parking for the lower unit is on the right side of the lot. We appreciate guests taking their shoes or boots off upon entering the apartment. Take you shoes off and throw your cares away!!! We are just a phone call away should you have any needs. * NOTE: Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving Guests: 🌻🌻🌻 We have a large number of guests from 1 PM to about 5 PM at our home above this space, (usually 4 PM) which has made us block those dates. Folks have asked us for that date, saying they will be out and about those hours and some were leaving that day. We could open those dates for them.
