The majority of houses are cute bungalows like ours but there are definitely some cruddy houses nearby. With that said, our street is pretty nice and our neighbors are great people. Our immediate neighbors consist of KU Med students, a KCKS fireman and his family, a librarian and artist next door. I would suggest doing a drive-by on a street view map before booking so you can preview the area. The house is 2 blocks away from 44th Ave. and Rainbow Blvd. KC KS. 66103. One final point on the reality of our neighborhood is that all of our past guests have really enjoyed their stay here. There are plenty of food choices in the neighborhood such as Lulu's Thai Noodle Shop, Gus's Fried Chicken, Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que, Taco Republic, 1889 Pizza Napoletana and a neighborhood grocery store. All of these are just a 2 minute drive away. KU Medical Center is only 5 blocks away. The home is near the 39th street district, Westport and The Country Club Plaza. By car the house is about 3 minutes away from the highway. (I-35) The Kansas City Convention Center (Bartle Hall) is a 10-15 min trip. Third party bookings are not allowed on Airbnb.
