Welcome! Just south of Adelaide & a 2-minute drive to Seacliff Beach my home is perfect for backpackers & travellers. Located in a quiet family neighbourhood, surrounded by Glenthorne National Park with bike tracks, walking trails & great views of the city. Visit vibrant Jetty road with great cafes, nearby Glenelg, 5 minutes drive to Marion Shopping Centre, Flinders University & Hospital. Close by the Fleurieu Peninsula with all its beaches & the beautiful wine region, McLaren Vale. The space This room has the ability to sleep 2 people, featuring a Single bed (with a super comfy thick King Single mattress), and a Single Trundle bed underneath. I also have another 'space' available where I can accommodate an extra 2 people. Please message me if you are travelling as a group and require extra space. I can provide further information. I have been hosting back-packers and students for a while now and strive to ensure my guests have everything they need for a wonderful, comfortable stay and, truly, feel at home. I'm a homeowner and quite house-proud. My home is fun, interesting, and personal, filled with an eclectic mix of paintings, art, and objects collected from my travels. You won't find sterile white walls or a pristine anonymous hotel here! Large deck, out the front, to relax and unwind, with views to Seacliff beach & stunning sunsets. Laze in the hammock or punch out a session on the boxing bag! Lovely outdoor area out the back with BBQ & swimming pool to enjoy in summer or warm yourself by the wood fire in winter. Explore bike tracks & walking trails through the adjacent Glenthorne National Park. Happy for guests to make themselves comfortable and make use of the kitchen, lounge, pool & other facilities. The kitchen is well equipped with a retro touch, and you are most welcome to help yourself to what you need. Enjoy seasonal home-grown fruit, veggies, and herbs when available. Guests may help themselves to breakfast- Toast with homemade jams & marmalade, 'happy' eggs when the ladies are behaving! Fresh coffee or tea and freshly squeezed Orange juice in winter. You are welcome to use the wash machine to do your laundry, although (regrettably due to people taking advantage), I do ask if you could please limit this to one- two loads per week. I also ask that you please be conscious of water usage, try keep showers to a minimum and turn off lights you are not using. Basic common sense please! Keep yourself entertained with books, board games and jigsaw puzzles. I have a couple old bicycles guests may borrow, though the neighbourhood is quite steep! Bedrooms are private, with secure locks. I have two rooms to choose from, the other has a Queen bed so please check out my other listing. Guest rooms are adjacent & guests share a bathroom between themselves. The bathroom contains a spa bath, you are most welcome to relax and soak in the tub! I encourage guests to be independent, help themselves and make themselves at home, though I am more than happy to share recommendations & advice if you require. I have a long term quiet tenant residing there whom keeps to herself. the adjacent car park and small courtyard space is also reserved for this tenant. *The downstairs garage is locked though please ask if you require to borrow any tools. During your stay I am home most of the days, generally busy around the house and in the garden. Respectful of privacy, though happy to provide local knowledge and advice. I am widely traveled, love cooking a great meal and often happy to share a drink and conversation. Other things to note Other guests stay here too.
