A new concept of accommodation in Andorra, at the doorstep of the Grandvalira-El Tarter slopes. Some will define it as a hostel in Andorra, others as a guesthouse in Andorra, but the truth is that you have not seen similar accommodation, and less in Andorra. If you usually sleep in hostels, here you will feel in a space with an innovative and different style that goes beyond your previous experiences. If this is your first time, you will regret not having met this before. If what moves you is the mountain or the passion for mountain sports, Mountain Hostel Tarter is the new formula of accommodation in Andorra, in an easy, practical, comfortable, economical and sustainable way, where you will meet and share experiences with other fellow travelers and mountain sports lovers like you, in winter and summer. YOUR OWN SPACE, FOR YOUR GROUP OR FAMILY OF 6 PEOPLE. Our 6 people room, with 3 bunk beds, is perfect for groups of friends or families of 6 people. This way you will have the necessary privacy of a room exclusively for your group of 6 people. This room has a maximum capacity of 6 people (3 individual bunk beds). All our beds are 90 x 200 cm, and like all of our beds come with fresh clean sheets and duvet. You’ll find in the room power socket and personal storage locker. The bathroom is shared and out of the room. The room is well heated with free Wi-Fi and like the whole building is warm and full of natural light putting you right in the mountains. You can rent extra towels for the duration of your stay for 2€ per towel. Is important to note that the bathrooms are shared and outside the room, with showers, toilets and washbasins. It is a modern bathroom with toilets, showers and sinks, always clean. They are shared and mixed, but with individual cabins and an interior lock, of course! We also offer hot water 24 hours. Here you can reserve the entire dorm for 4 people, an ideal option to live the style of the Mountain Hostel Tarter, with privacy in the room for your group. HOSTEL ROOM WITH MAXIMUM COMFORT When you arrive you will have your spotless beds with clean sheets, pillow and duvet. All rooms have heating, free Wi-Fi and a skylight window, loft type that provides a very warm and mountain environment. Each bed has its own light, plug and locker - individual drawer - which must be closed with your own padlock. If you don't have one, we provide you one for € 3 that you can take and take advantage of for the next time. The hostel was opened in 2013 and as it has been pampered with all our love, the rooms are as recently released to ensure your maximum comfort. Are you ready to wake up looking at the sky from the roof window? *IMPORTANT*: From 1 July 2022, a tourist tax come into force in Andorra. The cost is €1.10 per person per night, which must be paid directly at the hostel, in addition to the price of the booking at the time of check-in. Guest access At Mountain Hostel Tarter all spaces and services are shared with other guests. You will have at your disposal: chill living room with sofas (and also fireplace in winter), fully equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea, dining room, shared bathrooms, heated outdoor hot tub with spectacular mountain views, and of course free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel. KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM: the soul of the hostel Our large fully equipped kitchen, open and shared among all guests, has all the utensils and appliances for cooking (fridge, microwave, oven, vitro, toaster ... etc.) And for eating. It is all designed so that you simply bring your food and everyone can freely prepare their meals. We do not offer meals at the hostel. In the kitchen, there is free coffee and tea during your stay. CHILL ROOM: relax in our beanbags, and in winter close to the cosy fireplace Our chill room with sofas, beanbags, tv, books, board games and in winter with fireplace. The ideal space to rest for a while after the day in the mountains, have a drink and share experiences with other mountain-loving travellers like you. BATH ROOM: always ready The bathrooms of the hostel are shared, outside the room, and mixed. The bathroom is at the ground floor and rooms are at the first floor. The bathroom is a gym-type bathroom, with individual cabins for showers and toilets with internal closure. Inside each shower you have hangers and a bench so you can dry and dress comfortably. Our bathrooms are always clean. There is hot water 24 hours and in the bathroom you will find shower gen and shampoo and hand soap. You must bring the rest of the hygiene products. SWIM SPA: the gem in the crown. On the high terrace of the hostel we have our outdoor pool and hot tub, with hot water (of course!) With spectacular views of the mountains. Being hot water, the pool is operational all year round, in summer and in winter! In summer you can also enjoy sunbathing on the pool terrace with umbrellas and hammocks. The use of the pool is included in the price. The usual schedule in witner is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:0 p.m. and in summer from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. every day, subject to weather conditions. In winter, at the same times you can enjoy our small Finnish sauna with wood fire. SA TERRASSETA: our bar-restaurant on the lower terrace of the hostel. Open to the general public, from 1:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. in winter and from 1:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. in summer, where you can have a drink, lunch or dinner with delicious dishes from our grill. WI-FI There’s free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel. At check-in, we will provide you with the password. With the Wi-Fi you also have access to our printer to print, free of charge, your bus or train tickets, or boarding passes for your flight. STORAGE ROOM In winter, we have a ski storage room with boot dryers to store your ski or snowboard equipment and dry your boots. And in summer, if you come by bike, we have a security room to store bikes, workshop space and bike rack with a washing point that you can also use for free. WASHER DRYER In the hostel we have a washing machine and dryer that you can use whenever you need. It costs 6€ per load and detergent is included. Other things to note In the town of El Tarter, in winter, there is a supermarket and some restaurants around. In summer, there are less options. If you plan to cook in our fully equipped kitchen, we recommend that you come to Mountain Hostel Tarter with your stuff bought. Even so, in Mountain Hostel Tarter we have a small market where you can buy some basic products. In winter, if you come to ski in Grandvalira, we can help you with the reservation of ski passes in Grandvalira, ski and snowboard lessons, food on the slopes, rental of ski and snowboard equipment and clothing, etc. In summer from Mountain Hostel Tarter there are several hiking and mountain biking routes for all levels. We will help you to plan yours depending on your interests. We can also help you to organize other activities with a guide such as climbing via ferrata, guided mountain bike routes, canyoning, etc. Even tickets to Caldea if you feel like it! Just ask us and we will help you organize everything you need for your days in Andorra. And if you need to leave later on the day of departure, we have the "Late check-out" service: Check-out is until 11am. After leaving the room at 11am, you can use all our services and areas on the ground floor (kitchen, bathrooms and showers, Wi-Fi, dining room, sauna, pool, etc.) for only € 10 per person until 8pm. *IMPORTANT*: From 1 July 2022, a tourist tax come into force in Andorra.
