Cabin in the woods, secluded, private but close to everything.....the beach, wineries, breweries, hiking The space Floyd's Cabin is a spacious rustic loft style one bedroom cottage with kitchen, extra large living room, wood burning stove Long front porch spanning the entire front of the cabin.Screened porch which overlooks the woods. Located in Lakeside,Michigan on a quiet gravel road, surrounded by a forest of mature trees on all sides. Air conditioning in bedroom, which spills over into the living room.Ceiling fan in living room. Wifi a bit sketchy in the cabin but a good signal is available in and around the cottage (100 ft from the cabin) We're working on that. There are great restaurants, a micro brewery, art galleries, antique shops a short drive away. Warren Dunes is four miles from the cabin. Lake Michigan Pier Ave. Beach is a few blocks from the cabin. It's a short walk or bike ride away. Pick blueberries in the summer or shop at nearby farmers markets for fresh produce. Pick apples or pumpkins in the fall. There is a wonderful Farmers' market from 9 am to 2pm every Saturday and Sunday about four miles to the south of the cabin, located on Red Arrow Highway. Apple Cider Century bike ride in late summer. Lakeside is a quiet,long established summer community. Another nearby small village is Three Oaks, where you will find several restaurants,shops and art house movie theater (the Vickers) . Sawyer is another nearby village which has a grocery store, wonderful garden store, offering a huge selection of plants, produce and an extensive wine shop. Other things to visit in Sawyer are GreenBush Brewing Company, Joe Hindley Artist Studio, Katherine Doll Clothing Shop, which is located in the old Sawyer Fire House.
