Description

Charming Cabin set in a peaceful location overlooking The Glasshouse Mts. Cosy up around a fire outdoors telling yarns into the night beneath the stars, then retire to comfort- beats camping in a flimsy tent. Perfect for day trips to hike the trails of the Glasshouse Mts including Ngunngun on sunset or visit Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, the delightful towns of Maleny & Montville, Kondalilla Falls, Baroon Pocket Dam & much more The space Enjoy the tranquil surrounds of a rural setting with spectacular views over the Glasshouse mountains, an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding forests and near total seclusion in a rustic cabin fully equipped for your comfort. Guest access The cabin and surrounding few acres including native bushland. The orchard and beyond the driveway to the north East is for the host's private use only Other things to note Note: the cooking facilities are located outside which includes a gas stove built into a stand on the veranda or you can cook on the camp fire / fire pit. Occasionally 1 gas cylinder will run out and you'll need to switch over to the reserve cylinder at the front of the Cabin. I recommend people bring additional warm clothes in the winter if you have an aversion to cooler Temps and / Or your favourite Bed Warmer :) The Cabin can be POWERED either by an OFF GRID SOLAR SYSTEM with RUNNING HOT WATER for the full Tiny Home Experience but as such it has limited capacity which is NOT SUITABLE FOR running MEDICAL EQUIPMENT such as a Cpap Machine as outages may occur OR we can switch it over to the GRID if comfort is your preference. Please note: power outages occur about 2-3 times a year due to lines down or works in the region, thus candles are provided. Also note, there is a Compostable Loo rather than a Conventional Loo as you would expect in a Tiny Home. Tv reception can be variable and even drop out in the event of inclement weather. If the last guest has changed the mode to HDMI you will need to switch it back to TV to watch terrestrial Tv. Although the cabin is thoroughly cleaned before each guest, when it was originally built the builder painted dust into the woodwork. Also, the rich red dirt outside has been ground into the grain of the flooring. Remember though, you're staying in a rustic cabin. Please remove your shoes before entering the cabin so as not to track dirt inside. Charge for Additional Guest and pets- 25 each per night. Maximum of 3 people possible within the Cabin. Additional people can camp outside. Please message Brian requesting such as the water supply is limited in periods of drought. In periods of sustained heavy rain, parking next to the Cabin might only be possible with a 4 wheel drive as the driveway could get boggy. In this event, you can park a sedan or van on the road outside about 100m away or on the gravel driveway inside the front gate and walk across.
