Charming Cottage in Tyaskin, MD

Charming New England salt box style cedar sided cottage directly across from Tyaskin Park. The Cottage is larger inside than appears on the exterior due to vaulted ceilings in the living room, kitchen/ dining areas. Beautiful views of the Nanticoke river from the living room, dining area and large deck. Pine flooring in all rooms with the exception of the tile floor bath and carpeted loft. The space The Cottage not only has great river views but being directly across from Tyaskin Park one can launch their kayak or canoe and explore the Nanticoke or the Witipquin Creek. You can lie on the beach, fish or crab off of the pier or swim in the river. If you enjoy the night sky, this area is great for stargazing on a clear night. I have seen several shooting stars. Oh, there is abundant wildlife too. You will see an Osprey nest to the right of the pier. There are also bald eagles in this area and often can be seen while sitting on the deck. Guest access The whole Cottage and deck. The Cottage lies just outside of Tyaskin Park. There is a small beach area and a large pier. You can fish or crab off of the pier without a permit. Other things to note Two night minimum stay. Sorry but no pets allowed. SPECIAL NOTICE: The well water has an odor that some guests find offensive. However, it is safe and often once used the odor dissipates. I suggest running the water for at least five minutes There is a reverse osmosis system to the right of the kitchen sink that delivers great tasting water.
