Description
Redcliffe is steeped in history. The earliest parts of the house date from circa 1840. This extraordinary house and gardens is a kilometre north of Swansea, alongside the Meredith River. Until recently run as a B&B, each room has been lovingly and uniquely designed, all with en suite and views of the beautiful gardens. The space We've recently bought Redcliffe House and are getting to know it ourselves. It is our home so you should be aware that it is not a professional AirBNB. That said, we've put some nice touches in place. It is however, by no means yet polished - very much a work in progress. If you are looking for an interesting property for a group, with excellent kitchen and dining facilities and in a beautiful setting, and don't mind that it's a bit rough around the edges, then Redcliffe could be perfect for you. Currently: Quality linen and amenities in all rooms. The kitchen is now re-equipped for foodie visitors and includes an Italian espresso machine, Thermomix and an excellent range cooker. Four of the east coast's best cellar doors are within a fifteen-minute drive and exceptional produce is available close by. The river behind the property is accessible for swimming (we've cut a rough path through to a swimming hole), and there is a flying fox (all at your own risk) and plenty of space for all the family. There are some animals on the property - chooks andsheep, so if you bring your dog, please be sure that he or she is safe with them. Obviously too, this is rural Tasmania so you should be sensible about other wildlife including snakes, especially in the warmer months. Guest access Guests have access to all rooms in the main house, except for the owner's two bedrooms which are locked off. Also guests can access and use the laundry, which is in a separate building a few metres from the main house. Registration details Exempt: This listing falls under the 'home sharing' exemption
