Surrounded by Melbourne's best restaurants & cafes & a few minutes walk from the free tram network. Walking distance to shops, supermarkets & cafes, gardens, theatres, St Vincent's Hospital etc. No parking. The space APARTMENT Located in a late 19th-century heritage building called Gordon Place, the apartment looks out over the quiet Little Bourke Street, while the kitchen window views the inner courtyard containing a heritage palm tree. The complex allows you free access to the swimming pool and a coin laundry. One really feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle while staying in this part of the town. We have double glazing on our windows to make it very quiet and peaceful. The apartment has just been refurbished and the furniture is brand new and the apartment is comfortable for a couple. It is very safe, as a swipefob is provided for front door access to the building and I have a keyless lock on the apartment front door. Included in the apartment are: a kitchen, with a microwave, hotplates, refrigerator, toaster; a living space with a queen sized bed, a flat-screen television, table, desk and chairs, an iron and ironing board; a bathroom with a shower, toilet, hair dryer. Clean linen and towels are provided for each guest before arrival . For guests staying longer than a week they are changed on a weekly basis or as arranged with owner. When furnishing the apartment, we remembered all of our experiences in staying at B&B's and hotels throughout the world and took into account all the things we loved. So, we made sure that you can read by the reading lamp, the bathroom has enough drawers for toiletries, towels are soft, and umbrellas are provided and so on. We have made sure that the apartment was a place where any guest would love to stay and feel like a home away from home Guest access There is no parking in our building - it was build in 1884. There are metered parking bays in Lt Bourke St and Spring and Lonsdale Sts. Also many undercover private commercial car parks. Other things to note LOCATION It’s all about location! Our charming, boutique apartment lies literally a few steps away from cafes, restaurants, shops, theatres, China-Town etc. You can catch the free city tram network will take you from nearby St Patrick's Cathedral to St Paul's Cathedral, Federation Square, the Melbourne Museum, and Victorian State Library, the new Docklands area and the famous Melbourne Crown Entertainment Complex and Casino... It goes on and on, and a lot of these are within walking distance. You are also close to the trams in Bourke Street or Spring Street and the underground railway station. St Vincent's Hospital is a 10 minute walk from the apartment so handy if you are visiting relatives or friends in the hospital. Shopping is so close by - just a couple of blocks away there are lots of arcades with interesting and individual shops, department stores, Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne Central Mall, QV Shopping Mall; the list goes on, as Melbourne is the shopping capital of Australia. And the Emporium shopping complex with 280 new shops is fantastic & a 10 minute walk away. Also, there is the historical Queen Victoria Market selling a huge range of fresh food and clothing and certainly worth a visit in its own right.
