Guest access Guests will receive directions and a lockbox 3 days before arrival. They have access to the whole suite. Other things to note *1 dog limit(dogs only) EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR-ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION: 1)It is the responsibility of the guest, who is traveling from the west side of the state, to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Stevens Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia River to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is YOUR responsibility to make alternative travel plans. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken, adding additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter, and mountain passes can be closed at any time of the year due to wildfires, rockslides, or other events. Directions over all the routes will be sent to you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check the pass reports (and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave. 2)Trail Access/Closure Information: If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur at any time due to fire, rockslides, mudflows... and we have no control over them. There are many hiking and biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades National Park is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are many beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend. ***It is the responsibility of the owner to keep the dog from barking continuously because it may disturb other guests in our building. Please bring a bed or kennel for your dog. No dogs are allowed on any of the furniture. If excessive dog hair is found on it, then extra charges beyond the standard pet fee may be applied. When your dog needs a bathroom break, the owner is asked to pick up and dispose of remains as soon as possible. Your dog is not to be left unattended in the room at any time.*** INTERNET POLICY **We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley, and outages or tech issues beyond our control can occur; for these reasons, NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through Airbnb describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will contact the internet provider and/or the homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things promptly can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space. Public internet is available at the Winthrop library, with enhanced internet speed (in the parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee, you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding! IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months, it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel... in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme, with heavy snowfall, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, and impassable roads/driveways. If it snows while you are here, you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies, and neither the Methow Reservation nor the house owners control their schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads and driveways to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required, especially after any significant snow accumulation. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both the Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than 8 hours and the closures prevent you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay to arrive within 3 months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter. We recommend you check weather conditions before driving through the passes during the winter, either through the DOT’s website.
