Fireplace One Bedroom Cottage at Anchor Inn
Description
Vintage lakeside cottage at a 1940s family-run Inn on the west bay of Traverse City. Located on M22 puts you about 8 minutes from downtown. This listing is for a duplex style cottage. Want to watch the sunrise on a private beach? Grill out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? A midnight swim in Lake Michigan? Come stay at the vintage Anchor Inn and feel free to use our sauna, kayaks, firepits, beach chairs, firewood, charcoal grills, playground, cornhole, e-bike rentals, and much more! The space Newly renovated cottage with a kitchenette, fireplace, and living space with pull out sofa bed. There is a small one person bathroom, and a renovated bedroom with closing door. We quit the corporate world to turn around this 1940’s inn since February 2021, working to create a throwback lake cottage aesthetic and implement more sustainable business practices. The rustic nature of Anchor Inn is part of its charm, but it’s not for everyone. The doors are tricky, the 80 year old windows are far from energy efficient, and the cedar trees provide a constant cool dampness. The size of our tight bathrooms haven't changed since the 40s. We decorate the rooms with vintage & antique finds, mostly to fuel our addiction to buying cool stuff! Walk out your door and across the street to the lake! All beach chairs, kayaks, charcoal, marshmallow roasting sticks & firewood are included in your stay. Nothing makes us happier than guests making new friends around the firepit. We hope you’ll consider staying with us for your next ‘up north’ escape!
