Magical modern bamboo treehouse

We are a rustic eco-lodge with two unique locations, thoughtfully crafted by local artisans and rooted in eco-conscious living. Tucked away along a footpath in a traditional rice-field neighborhood, our spaces are designed for adventurous, open-minded travelers who want to escape the ordinary. Just a short walk from central Ubud—but truly a world away. The space Treehouse This is a bamboo treehouse — rustic, fully open-air, and immersed in trees. Downstairs is a lounge area, a locked armoire for your suitcase, and the bathroom. A ladder leads to the sleeping area, which includes a bed with a small balcony. There is also a sleeping loft where an extra bed can be added if needed. We are a unique place and not for everyone. Please do not book if any of the following would bother you, as we do not offer refunds for these conditions: 1. This space is near the main lobby. As it is open-air and has no walls, you may hear other guests. 2. Access is via a bamboo ladder (not stairs). The ladder is steep, exposed, and high, with uneven footing. It may feel challenging or unsafe if you are uncomfortable with climbing, not physically fit, afraid of heights, or have any condition that limits mobility. If this sounds like you, this accommodation is not suitable. Yes — this can feel intense and a little scary. That’s part of the experience. 3. This is open-air, camping-style sleeping. You are sleeping outdoors, and in the tropics it can be warm. 4. We are a cat-friendly hotel. Our cats roam freely and may choose to join you for a cuddle. 5. Access to the property is via a rustic footpath through the rice fields, approximately a 15-minute walk. 6. We are relaxed, simple, and unfussy, rather than polished or luxury-focused — does that sound like you? 7. We are located in a lush, jungle-like area of Bali. You may encounter insects, lizards, mosquitoes, ants, snakes, wasps, or other wildlife. This is normal here, and embracing nature is part of the experience. We do not kill wildlife for the benefit of visitors, and we also have a beehive on the property. 8. Tropical life is hot. There is no air-conditioning. We find it breezy and comfortable — but we also live here 🙂 If this sounds like your kind of stay, we think you’ll feel very comfortable here. If not, we completely understand and encourage you to choose accommodation that better matches your expectations. Guest access You are welcome to use the dining area and bar. we have a lovely chill social area with a pool that is great for getting to know other guests. We also have a new funky little bamboo spa so please indulge. We have a full staff that will greet you when you arrive and be there to assist you in anyway you like.
