The space Bedroom is on the 3rd floor with the bathroom on the second floor and sometimes shared. My house is in the historic Cool Spring neighborhood that's quiet, friendly and a nice 7-8 block walk into center city. Outside, enjoy parks for exercising and within a mile you'll find restaurants, coffee shops and bars. My house is convenient to banks, offices, hospitals and court houses as well as Amtrak, SEPTA and buses. Visit our outstanding selection of cultural and historic attractions including Winterthur, the Nemours Mansion & Garden, Hagley and the beautiful Brandywine Valley. If you have business meetings or are starting a new job in Wilmington, you can walk there, take public transportation within a few blocks of my house or we'll figure out another approach. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to heat up or prepare basic meals. The creation of elaborate feasts requiring extensive cookware and spices... not so much. I'll give you recommendations for local cafes and restaurants. There is a friendly cat in the house. This room has one window with a view of the Wilmington skyline. The house is air conditioned and this room has a ceiling fan. Street parking is generally available although it can be tight at night. Check in between11am and 9:30pm. Earlier arrival can be arranged in advance. Arrival that first night after 9:30pm is difficult and comes with an additional fee. Guest access You'll have access to the dining room, kitchen and front porch. Bathroom is on the second floor and may be shared at times. Absolutely positively NO 3rd party reservations will be accepted. During your stay The more the merrier. I do enjoy hosting guests, sharing my home and conversing with guests. You can expect a warm, friendly atmosphere more so than what you might find in a hotel or boarding house. Other things to note Guests looking for longer stays often reserve just a few nights. We get to know each other and then they extend for a month or two. Anything can be worked out. I don't charge fees. And in case you hadn't noticed, I LIVE HERE.
