Description

The unit is cozy and quiet tucked at the rear of the building on the first floor. There are privacy/light block shades for your convenience. There’s a bit of an Egyptian theme in the apartment now but it will always be changing. I like to promote friends’ art work and I will always have live plants to keep the air fresh. Pet fee is per pet per stay. ***We’ve recently upgraded our pest control measures to ensure the highest level of cleanliness.*** The space Steps to the Old Port full of shops, cafes, museums and more. Across from the Merrill Auditorium and City Hall and the Federal and District Courthouses. There’s one parking spot in an adjacent lot available free of charge as well as coin-op laundry in the basement($2/wash or dry)There are lots of kitchen supplies for cooking your own meals, a full size gas range and oven and a full size refrigerator with ice maker. The cold water in the kitchen faucet is filtered. There is a window unit a/c that is installed for the warmer months and removed for winter. If you are concerned whether or not a/c is available for your stay, please ask. Guest access The laundry room is shared by the building and is in the basement. You will need to exit the building to access. The door is on the Myrtle St. side of the building. You can find the key, which opens the laundry room as well as the back door, on the gold plate on the side table where the Keurig machine lives. There are coin operated machines and you will need to find your own quarters ($2/wash and $2/dry). I usually go to a carwash or a laundromat to snag some. The parking space is just across Chapel St.(the cobblestone street) and is kitty-corner to the building. There are numbered signs that say “Parking for 251-253 Cumberland Ave.”Spaces are all assigned so please park ONLY in Space 2. Other things to note We’ve recently upgraded our pest control measures to ensure the highest level of cleanliness. I’m proud to announce I have changed over to a 100% non-toxic cleaning products including but not limited to laundry detergent and shower supplies. Rest easy knowing that you are in a 100% harsh chemical FREE environment for your health and the health of our planet! ****Pet fee is per pet per stay with maximum of two pets per stay. You will be charged $200 for two pets.**** This is a small one bedroom unit. It’s best suited for singles or couples but it can accommodate 4 guests. I think it would be pretty tight to have 4 adults staying here though it has certainly been done successfully. The tap water in the kitchen faucet is filtered when set to cold and the ice in the freezer is made with this same filtered water. The privacy shades can be set to shear to allow light in but not eyes or closed to block nearly all outside light. I have a YouTube TV subscription that can be accessed by pushing the home button on the tv remote and selecting the YouTube TV icon. You will be responsible for all extra charges for pay-per-view tv service during your stay. (Both the tv and the sound bar audio need to be set to “Optical” for the sound to go through the speaker system). The smoke alarms are fairly sensitive so please always use the exhaust hood when cooking anything. Items left in the the refrigerator or on the shelves are available to you. I usually keep coffee/tea as well as some fruit and candy to snack on. The wine is also complimentary so please, pop a bottle! AirConditioner is available for warmer months and removed in colder months. Cracking a window cools it down pretty quickly during these times. If you are concerned if it will be available for your particular stay please ask. Please RECYCLE Here in Maine all bottles and cans are returnable for a deposit! Yes every bottle and can is worth 5-15 cents! If you don’t want to return them yourself then leave them in the blue bin with other recycling and someone else will collect them. What goes in the BLUE BIN? -Paper & paper products -Cardboard/paperboard -Rinsed out food cans -All Plastic except plastic shopping bags —NO FOOD WASTE OR STYROFOAM— Everything else should go in the trash. I offer longer-term(5+ days)guests the option of weekly cleaning services for an extra $50 each cleaning. Also, you will find some basic cleaning supplies that you are encouraged to take advantage of should you need to. Registration Details STHR-001829-2019
