The Sail Loft: lovely River views
The Sail Loft: lovely River views
Description
Accessed by an outside wooden staircase, the Sail Loft has a very large window providing wonderful views across the water meadows of the River Avon. This is a lovely, light-filled but cosy large studio room. There’s a kitchenette and a woodburner for those winter evenings, and we’re on the edge of the New Forest with lots of beautiful walks and cycling routes all year round. There are so many good pubs locally, and we are also only a half-hour drive from the South coast and its beaches. The space The Sail Loft was originally built in the mid-1800s and was part of a local mill which made sails for ships on the coast around Lymington, so the building has a historic look but inside has recently been converted to provide small but very comfortable living space, with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. There is also a small terraced area with table and chairs from where you can enjoy a nice sundowner! Further photos on Instagram @the_sail_loft_newforest Guest access There is a small patio with table and chairs which is exclusive to the Sail Loft. Other things to note If you’re coming down to celebrate a special event, let me know and we can arrange provision of celebratory bubbles, or flowers or whatever you might like, if we can manage it! Also, if you let me know in advance, I’m very happy to provide a breakfast pack of home-made bread and jam, bacon and eggs plus granola (also home-made), Greek yogurt and fruit compote which has been very popular with our guests. We have a weekly Parkrun in Fordingbridge - every Saturday - which takes place within easy walking (or running) distance of the Sail Loft. So if you’re an energetic type come along and sign up, there’s a great atmosphere!
