Please make yourself at home in our quiet, cozy retreat. Near Yosemite National Park & the San Francisco Bay Area for vacationers passing through, or Modesto/Turlock hospitals & businesses for traveling professionals seeking a warm alternative to the hotel scene. Simple pleasures have been thoughtfully provided to make your stay more relaxing & hospitable: everything from scented soap & soft sheets to free Netflix on your Smart TV. The space As you may notice from the extensive list of amenities, every effort has been made to ensure your comfort during your stay. Cold, purified water in the kitchen, complimentary coffee & tea, a handheld shower head, and empty space in the cupboards & fridge. Please don't hesitate to ask for something that would make your time here more enjoyable. Guest access Private bedroom; shared bathroom with the other occasional Airbnb guest; full house privileges in the common areas downstairs, including the kitchen, dining, living, laundry, & patio areas. During your stay We live less than a mile away, so we make every effort to greet you in person and briefly show you around the house. During your stay, you may see us periodically for weekly maintenance, preparing rooms for other guests, etc. Please feel free to approach us if you need anything at all. Otherwise, we will give you your space. Other things to note COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE The following practices allow us to continue providing a safe, healthy, & comfortable experience for you & all of our guests, especially those traveling internationally or in the medical profession. Thank you for your cooperation! What We Continue to Do - Wearing a face mask when requested & practicing social distancing at all times. For the safety of of everyone in the household, we meet all guests in person on arrival, but the greeting will be brief. All other communications is through Airbnb messaging. - Limiting our visits to weekly maintenance & room turnovers. - ALL surfaces (including walls, carpets, drapes, windows, furniture, appliances, decor, remotes, doorknobs, etc.) are treated with virucidal disinfectant (EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claim) during our routine cleaning. - Spacing out guest departures & arrivals for the same room by more than 48 hours. - All linens & towels in the room are laundered afterward, so additional items are available upon request. - Staying current with the most recent travel & health advisories, Airbnb requirements, & vaccination recommendations. - Providing a free test if you develop symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, new loss of taste/smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Refunding you for all cancelled nights of your stay if you report a positive test. What We Need You To Do - Read & observe our House Rules before booking, & our Guest Manual before you arrive. - Refrain from openly commenting or criticizing anyone’s choice to wear a mask. - Socializing with other members of the household is prohibited, and you must practice safe social distancing for any other limited interaction. - Although federal, state, & county safety guidelines are still occasionally updated, all guests are responsible for staying informed, and adhering to them when leaving the house. Please let us know if you need referrals to current resources. - The kitchen & bathrooms have been supplied with disinfectant. Please spray sink areas & faucet handles after use, and feel free to use on other surfaces around the house as you see fit. Guests staying 7 days or more are required to clean the bathroom from top to bottom at least once/week. - Please wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds before & after using shared areas of the house. - While washing hands is the best form of reducing the spread of germs, each bedroom has been supplied with EPA-approved hand sanitizer, as an added line of defense. - Please cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Every room in the house has been supplied with a box of disposable tissues. - Please report any symptoms exhibited by other members of the household to us immediately.
