Only 10km away at Cap d’agde, Marseillan, Vias and Sète are the beautiful long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. Equally enjoyable and interesting walks can be enjoyed in the historic villages and Ports of the region, especially after night fall. Port du Cap d’agde, Port du Sete, Port de Bouzigues, Port de Marseillan The close proximity of the canal du midi and l’herault to the chateau provides a tranquil place to enjoy a walk. Festival and Entertainment Lovers Very close lies the historic 17th century market town of Pezenas, where Moliere played for the Prince De Conti. It offers a multitude of events, expositions, concerns and plays. It is also well known for its antique shops and markets. Only 25 minutes away is Montpellier nicknamed ‘la surdouee’ the gifted. It is a vibrant town with numerous walks, old town and an abundance of festivals. Sete and it’s famous theater also offers events all year long. Food and Drink Lovers The region offers many interesting regional products for your tasting pleasure. Discover the ‘figues becos’ a type of fig from Nezignan Leveque, Le Petit pate de Pezenas. Fish and seafood and of course wine as the region is the single biggest wine producing region in the world. We have selected a range of regional produce from the surrounding villages, (no more than 7km from the chateau) which you can purchase in the chateau’s little shop.
