The Fox Den Cottage at Foxhollow Farm is a newly remodeled, private home where guests will have full access to the cottage during their stay on our family farm. Our farm is a biodynamic, grassfed beef farm that was recently featured on Season 16 of Bravo's Top Chef Kentucky (Episode 7, "Carne!"). We love hosting guests at our farm to experience the beauty of the place we call home. During your stay, we hope you are delighted by the picturesque views, homey feeling, and nearby amenities of the city. The Fox Den Cottage features two spacious bedrooms with a queen (master) and full size bed (second bedroom), a large bathroom, an eat-in kitchen, and living space to relax, enjoy a glass of wine or bourbon, curl up with a good book, or catch up on your binge-watching. The Fox Den Cottage was professionally designed by a local designer and features artwork from local, regional, and national artists that are part of our personal collection. Each bedroom has a wardrobe/dresser for storing your clothing items. Should you require more hanging space, the entire upstairs of the cottage is a closet. The Fox Den Cottage is one of several residences on our family farm. Our own private residence is located next door beyond the privacy hedges, so we are available with ease. If you enjoy hiking and the outdoors, we welcome you to experience our nature trail where you'll see hundreds of acres of Kentucky farmland, beef cattle, and horses. With enough notice and depending on his availability, you can hire Jared to cook you a lovely, local meal with ingredients grown from his kitchen garden located on Foxhollow Farm. If you're looking to dine out for a local meal, do some shopping, attend a major event in Louisville like The Kentucky Derby, you need only drive 5 to 25 minutes from the cottage. The trail head to the nature trail is very close to the cottage. A map to access the trail is provided at the cottage. Our personal residence is located next to the cottage, separated by large landscaping for privacy, but we are readily available by phone and messenger, and can easily walk next door if needed. Guests will have lockbox key access. If we are away during your stay, our business manager's contact information will be provided. This property is idyllic because you can stay in a serene, country environment, but drive just 5-minutes down the road to the Louisville city amenities. We're located just 8-minutes from the famed Norton Commons mixed-use development that features local restaurants, bourbon and wine bars, a brewery, sushi bar, boutique shopping and more. Just 10-minutes away is an outdoor shopping mall, The Paddock Shops. If you want to venture into downtown, drive only 20 minutes.
