If you’re looking for a unique, historic, and cosy home with excellent access to Frankfurt—yet the peace of village life—this little house is a rare and memorable find. We’d love to welcome you. 🏡✨ Bad soden- 1km Frankfurt- 15km Airport- 15km The space Step back in time and make yourself at home in our beautiful half-timbered house, built in 1581 and lovingly cared for in the heart of Neuenhain, Bad Soden. This is a truly special place to stay—full of centuries-old character, warm atmosphere, and all the modern comforts you need for a relaxing visit. Tucked away in a picturesque village, the house is perfect for guests who enjoy history, cosy spaces, and exploring on foot. Neuenhain is just minutes from Bad Soden and offers excellent public transport connections to Frankfurt and the airport, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business stays. The House The house is 80 m², wonderfully homely and full of original features—low ceilings, exposed beams, and a feeling of stepping into another era. It’s a peaceful place to truly switch off. There’s no TV, but we do offer excellent WiFi for work or browsing. On the ground floor, you’ll find: • A cosy living room with comfortable seating and dining space • A well-equipped kitchen with hob, microwave, small fridge/freezer, and essentials • Books about the local area and photo albums sharing the history of the house • A high chair available for babies On the first floor: • A charming double bedroom with village views (beds freshly made for you) • Bathroom with a spacious shower, plus shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, and toilet paper In the attic: • A peaceful twin bedroom with sloped ceilings, wardrobes, and plenty of space • Toys and children’s books—perfect for families In the cellar: • Modern washing machine and dryer (please bring your own detergent) The Village & Location Neuenhain is a joy to explore on foot. Within a few minutes’ walk you’ll find: • Two Italian restaurants (including our favourite, La Cucina, just steps away!) • A pub, bakeries, ice-cream café, Chinese and German restaurants • Supermarket (REWE), butcher, fruit & veg shop, post office, bank, doctors, and more Our favourite spot? Sitting outside the ice-cream café and soaking up village life 🍦 • Bad Soden: 5 minutes by car or bus, or a scenic 20-minute walk • Frankfurt city: ~20 minutes by car / ~35 minutes by train • Frankfurt Airport: ~20 minutes by taxi • Messe Frankfurt: approx. 20 minutes by car or 40 minutes by public transport Good to Know • Free parking is available throughout the village, usually just a short walk away • You may drive to the house to drop off luggage • Ceilings and stairs are original and low/steep—part of the charm, but not suitable for guests over 1.85 m or those with mobility difficulties • Shops typically close Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday (very German 😊) If you’re looking for a unique, historic, and cosy home with excellent access to Frankfurt—yet the peace of village life—this little house is a rare and memorable find. We’d love to welcome you. 🏡✨ Guest access Guests are free to use entire space and enjoy the peace, quiet and comfort of this unique home. Other things to note Frequently asked questions: Where is the house located? the house is located in Neuenhain which is a village 5 min drive from Bad Soden. The village is full of shops and there is a supermarket approx 15 min walk from the house. Please note the village shops are closed from around 1pm on Saturday and all day on Sunday. Some also close at lunchtime during the week. We have a flight arriving at ‘7.30am’….can we arrive earlier than 2pm? If you have an early flight we will try to accommodate you with an early check in but it is not possible if guests are there. The best idea is to book the house from the night before so you can arrive whenever you want. Is there parking with the house? Since the house was built in 1581 there is no parking space included with the house (that’s my little joke!)….i guess they had room for a horse and cart once upon a time 😅 But, you will be able to find somewhere to park in the village, usually within a minute or so walk from the house. All parking is free! How high are the ceilings? Please note the ceilings on the upper 2 floors might feel low if you are over 1.85m tall. There is also a beam across the Center of the living room. We would say if you are less than 1.85m tall you will be ok!! We feel it is part of the charm and unique experience of staying in such an old home though. Are the stairs steep? Yes, this is a house built in 1581….we do not recommend staying if anyone has any difficulty with stairs. How far is the Messe? This is a great location for the Messe with strong transport links. By car takes approx 20 mins; bus and train takes approx 40mins (5 min walk to bus; 5 min journey to train station; 30 min journey by train to Messe) Many guests use our house as a comfortable location to return to each day after the Messe. How far is the bus? 1 or 5 minute walk. Depending which bus stop you go to. Please look at the RMV app for public transport timings and information. Or we can of course help you. How far is Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof? Nb we were not in Frankfurt. We are in Neuenhain approx 15km from the city. By train to the city takes 35 minutes. 20 mins by car. How far is Frankfurt airport? 20 mins by taxi, costing approx 65 Euros no For guests bringing dogs: Please note we allow a maximum of two dogs and would suggest that the house is not suitable for large dogs. We do not have any items for dogs at this house so please bring everything you need. Please do not let the dogs onto the sofas or beds. Please note we only have a small front yard so you will need to take the dog for a walk when it needs to go to the toilet 😊 Please do not leave dogs in the house unattended.
