This is actually two rooms together with a shared bathroom. They are within a colonial house where there are other rooms and there is a large terrace with a very long table where you can eat and do yoga or just chill and have a cocktail. It is in the jungle but not too far from the beach. We have a fab kitchen and enjoy cooking with friends. Take part or cook your own. Dragon Fly house is located just fifteen minutes walk from the beach at Thiranagama, just south of the popular Sri Lankan resort of Hikkaduwa, in the South West of Sri Lanka. Kumara has his own tuk tuk , there is no need to walk any where if the weather is too hot. The House has four spacious double bedrooms, one single room and a room under the trees. There are four bathrooms, two of which are outdoor. There is hot and cold water through-out, and a large kitchen. The dining area, which is outside on the verandah seats at least 14 comfortably. On the open veranda you can lounge on a day bed, practice yoga or use a hammock. The beautiful mature garden has many fruit plants, banana, mango, papaya, coconut and more. Each of the beds and chairs are professionally cut and hand carved locally. It really is the Ideal holiday home close to the beach yet away from the busy coastal area. Located in a residential part of Kumara Kanda this charming property is ideal for outside dining or lounging whilst observing the flora and fauna of this property’s very own jungle! Take a 15 minute walk to the beach or hire a scooter and go for long rides inland and discover tea plantations and lazy buffalos lying in the mud. Guest access The kitchen Is very spacious allowing for great fun cooking. There is an American fridge, so go shopping and fill it with your favourite things. The terrace is our dining room with enough room for about 14 people. Be caring to the environment. Turn lights and fans off if you don't need them. It's pretty safe but do lock up when you go out. Don't leave food out. Someone will have it in no time. Enjoy the jungle. Ask about the trees. During your stay I will be at hand if you want me to be. I love cooking. There are a selection of meals on offer, ranging from delicious home made guacamole, to Spanish tapas, and all kinds of salads and wraps. Lets go to the fish market and have a barbecue!
