Your guest room sanctuary to be, is nestled in a deeply cared-for, meditative home in a wilderness neighborhood surrounded by the serenity of nature, expansive red rock views and a mere five minute stroll to the flowing sounds of the Oak Creek (Crescent Moon Park) where you will emerge into many hiking or biking trails leading you to the breathtaking sight of Cathedral Rock. The space Our home is a beautiful retreat house that offers a home-like retreat in a nurturing environment where we welcome guests to come for rest & renewal. The retreat house is a two story 4,200 square foot home with 7 bedrooms & 5.5 bathrooms. Your cozy bedroom is located on the lower, self-contained floor of our two story retreat house. The bedroom has a Queen bed, small desk, closet, and sitting area. There is a separate entrance for guest staying in this room. Guest will enter through their own patio into the lower floor. Your downstairs private apartment includes a kitchen, living/dining room, and a total of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bathroom is down the hallway. Please note that our family lives in the upper level. Guest access You will have access to your private suite that is similar to an entire apartment, which includes the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, pantry, cozy dining nook, living room and laundry space. The bathroom is down the hallway. A meditation room is also available upstairs and is available for 7am meditation. Additional amenities for this room include: Fridge/freezer space A large living and dining room area where you can relax or do yoga Fully stocked coffee/tea bar with all the basics like creamer, honey, sugar etc. Fully stocked kitchen Healing room onsite where you can book a massage, healing session and more Yoga sessions available (includes a hike) A private trail to Oak Creek (5 -10 min walking from property) Amazing Red Rock Views from the property Guests have complete access to the beautiful backyard (1.5 acres) including patio with dining, walkways, labyrinth, pond, hammock, free parking etc. The space is designed to facilitate the experience of tranquility and peace being a resting place for numerous adventures around Sedona. Common areas: Common areas include outdoor spaces only. You will not be sharing indoor space with anyone else, however, our family lives upstairs and the upstairs and downstairs connects through a door. You may hear our family through the door. We also have a second room that is on the lower level that shares two walls with your unit, sound travels easily. The second unit is called "Yoga Retreat Near Cathedral Rock" which is a private self-contained suite with its own entry/exit. Please note that this space is listed as a “room” and not an “entire place”. Our family lives upstairs and you may hear us. You will have your own separate suite with your own entry/exit. Other things to note *Please note that our family lives upstairs. We have children ages 1 and a 6 years okd. You will be able to hear our son and family sounds in general. Daily Meditation Upstairs: We offer daily morning silent meditation from 7- 7:30am upstairs in our meditation room, this is free of charge. Interfaith Devotional Services: We hold a Devotional Interfaith Service upstairs at 6pm, Friday and Saturday. We invite guest to join us if they are called. Breakfast: A delicious and nutritious continental breakfast is available for an additional $20 charge per morning (serves 2). Who We Are/Your Hosts: Jakob and Fabiola Merchant are seasoned hosts who are passionate about giving guest an exceptional Sedona experience. They know the area well having lived in Sedona for 15 years making them a great resource for guest. Jakob Merchant is an ordained interfaith Minister, Spiritual Counselor, Body Talk Practitioner, Healer, and certified Yoga Instructor. Fabiola Merchant is a Nurse Practitioner specialized in Women's Health and Midwifery. Together, they form an exceptional team.
