Description

Located in a pristine part of the Atherton Tablelands, ‘Feathers at Frogmore’ provides absolute privacy, peace and quiet. Enjoy this rare opportunity to stay in a unique off-grid dwelling and relax in complete seclusion with a stunning waterfall and river. Please note that a 4WD VEHICLE IS REQUIRED to access the property (please read 'House Rules' for more details). The space ‘Feathers at Frogmore’ is a two storey dwelling with an unusual design and features beautiful natural hardwood timber throughout. The house is ideal for families or groups. There are two upstairs bedrooms, each opening onto its own balcony. “The River Room” has a stunning view through French doors onto the balcony, overlooking the rainforest that fringes the river and the mist-enshrouded World Heritage mountains beyond. It has a queen bed and a single bed, as well as another single bed in a very large adjoining walk-in-robe, plus a spare single foam mattress that can be used on the floor if necessary. “The Reef Room” looks out on the tree-ferns and rainforest surrounding the house. It has a queen bed and 2 single bunk-beds and is decorated with a tropical reef theme. For anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs, a sofa in the sitting-room downstairs can be converted to a double bed. Guest access The entire house is available for guest use. The downstairs bathroom is usable, but needs some renovating. Other things to note Please note that the main access road from the nearest towns is narrow, winding and unsuitable for caravans. However it is bitumen throughout and we believe it is one of the most scenic roads on the Atherton Tablelands, so definitely worth the drive! Also, we need you to be aware that due to the nature of the setting (i.e. a house nestled within the rainforest in the 'Misty Mountains'!), it is difficult to keep the house smelling fresh! During extended periods of rain, and during winter when the windows are not open as much, there may be a musty smell inside, especially in the second bedroom. Most people don't have an issue with this, but if you are sensitive to mould, please do not book this accommodation - we don't offer refunds if you arrive and decide that this is a problem for you.
