This recently restored cottage in St Agnes is your home away from home; with distant sea views & 2-private parking spaces, it is the perfect base to explore Cornwall from. The cosy cottage features a large comfy sofa & armchair in the lounge - in front of the wood burner. The kitchen is very well equipped with an induction hob, double oven & dishwasher. The private garden has a good-sized lawn, a seated patio area & a wood-fired oven/BBQ area – perfect for relaxing after a busy day adventuring. The space This modern miners cottage has been lovingly restored to a very high standard. The house is located on a quiet road in Goonbell, on the edge of one of Cornwall's most beautiful and thriving villages, St Agnes. It is approximately a 10-minute walk into the centre of the village, along a quiet and safe residential road, with pavement most of the way. The cottage has its own drive with two private car parking spaces located directly opposite the property. The house is accessed via a gate leading into a private enclosed courtyard; a stunningly warm sun-trap in the summer months. Inside the house, there are many unique original features, one of the things that makes this house so wondrous. The master bedroom is located downstairs and has a large wardrobe. chest of drawers and a comfortable double bed. Directly next to the downtairs bedroom is the bathroom, with a quirky entrance and features a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin unit. Also downstairs is the fully-equipped utility room including a large double Belfast sink (with a pull-out hose tap), washing machine, tumble drier and wine cooler. It also has a large, gated space under the stairs that is perfect as pet’s bedroom or safely keeping in when going out for dinner (or to dry pets out after a wet walk or swim at the beach) The rear garden is accessed via the utility room door and is split across two levels. The lower level is slate-finished and has lots of patio seating, a wood-fired oven and a barbeque cooking area. The higher level features a good-sized lawn and flower bed. The garden is completely private and enclosed, ideal for safely allowing dogs out. Going up to the first floor, you immediately walk into a spacious and light, open-plan lounge, with a 4-person sofa and a comfy armchair. In the corner of the room is a modern, very easy-to-use, wood burner – perfect for getting cosy on those cooler nights. There is also a 55” smart TV and Bluetooth speaker, a coffee table, a fold-out dining table and six chairs. The newly fitted, shaker-style kitchen features all the usual mod-cons, including a large fridge-freezer, double oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and induction hob. There is a little breakfast bar that overlooks the garden, faces north and has the Atlantic Ocean and historic Cornish mining stacks in the distance. This view (where the sunset can be seen from) can also be enjoyed outside from the glass-fronted balcony, accessed from the lounge; with two comfy chairs on. Finally, at the top of the house is the single top-floor bedroom. This can be made up into two single beds for children or zipped together into a king bed for couples or an adult. This bedroom also faces north and has stunning distant sea views. Pets are such an important part of the family and a trip away wouldn't be the same without them. For that reason, they are very welcome at our cottage. We kindly ask that they are kept off the furniture, especially the sofa and the beds. Our linen company charges us extra cleaning fees if the towels and sheets are covered in pet hairs, and unfortunately, we will have to pass this fee on. We keep a box in the utility room with various dog paraphernalia including bowls, that you are welcome to use during your visit. There is also a number of products in the house for use when babies stay, including a travel cot, a high chair and a changing mat.
