Bamboo Garden Apt, a quiet, cozy getaway

Just a 15 min walk to the Convention Ctr and a 10 min Lyft or 30 min walk to downtown and the Pearl District, this is a new, light-filled 2 story separate apt with views of bamboo groves and organic gardens. Full kitchen, bathroom with shower, and AC. New hot tub ( shared with big house). Location is tops: close to all 4 quadrants of the city in a quiet, lovely, safe and historic neighborhood. Walk score is 87; bike score 99. MAX light rail, street car, bus are 5-10 min walk; no car needed. The space This is a stylish, cozy and comfortable 2 story apt. The ground floor (no steps, just roll your suitcase right in the door) holds the bedroom with a queen bed, desk, full bathroom and closet. The upper floor has a compact but full kitchen (toaster, coffee grinder and maker, microwave), eating nook and living area with futon couch. All appliances are energy efficient. The space is accented by colorful rugs and other indigenous textiles from my worldwide travels. The unit is ideal for two adults who share the main bedroom on lower level. The futon couch upstairs can be made into a double bed if desired for the 2nd (or 3rd) guest. All bedding is cotton, wool or other natural materials. Relax with a Netflix film, the latest episode of your favorite series, or simply listen to music on the flatscreen as well. Because there is a spiral staircase, it is fine for infants, but not recommended for children aged 1-4. Guest access The unit is completely separate, tucked behind my 113 year old classic Portland home. In the warm months you have a private courtyard with table and chairs. A lockbox with key is provided so you can arrive and depart independently and easily. Other things to note The view out the upper level is of green bamboo groves and backyard gardens. If the weather cooperates, feel free to enjoy the small private courtyard out your front door, or relax on the deck behind the big house, with larger table and 4 chairs.
